I see gorilla, octopus and elephant in the anatomy, but the coloration is totally made up. Anyway, it's kind of cool, but not really biologically plausible.
Yes Dahami, is the the magic of fantasy illustration. regards!
A really nice mash up! Well put together. Good job!

I find this an odd statement after reviewing your website. I mean, you have some work in there I would say the same, and much of the work on this site is not possible. I am not trying to be condensending, I just found it odd you would say it.

I think if some textures were added and lighting pushed a bit it would add depth to this. its a neat design, just could use a little more punch for a finally finished piece.
I only live for today, but I'm one day behind.

This will haunt my dreams for years to come.
That being said, it's -awesome-.
i like this conceptvery cool, although i dont quite see the gorilla in it
I notice you have a gorilla posture and body but it doesn't quite tell me it is also part gorilla. The elephant and octopus shows really well because of its distinguishable features.

Dragonspit, by not "biologically plausible" I mean in the sense of a functioning organism that lives in a specific environment and has to forage, mate, etc... The octo-eleph-ape does not occupy any known ecological niche. Also, it is difficult to conceive of an evolutionary history for this beast. Like, what did its ancestors a few tens of millions of years ago look like?
On the other hand, in a fantasy world where the creatures don't need to have functional roles in a real-world ecology, this animal might be right at home. If I was to combine the features of octopus, elephant and gorilla into a new species, and then make up a color scheme for it, perhaps I might come up with something similar. It is well done from the standpoint of having the symmetry and self-relatedness (for lack of a better term) that you see in real animals. In other words, it is in some respects more plausible than the duck-lizard-otter mix we call a platypus.
If you have any questions or comments regarding the creatures in my sketchbook I would be happy to discuss those there with you.
Biologically possible? dude, this is biologically BADASS! haha. This sucker needs to have some green in it and some murky browns. But killer concept!
I think it would be better if the animal included a rabbit and an alligator as well.
Just kidding! Awesome design.
