    @RoboMonkey: Thanks
    @Cuervo: Haha yea really frustrating. There seems to be some natural law that as soon as i have put down the first few strokes, the subject moves away ...
    @yongs: Thanks i will

    Today's daily update:
    - 3 pages of Kchen studies
    - 1 head done from a picture in my "inspiration" folder (so it's a copy)
    - 1 head from reference (King Kong)

    Nice update. The second page of figures, and the head studies especially. That second head study shows a lot of personality, more of these and you'll move far fast.

    Gotta say, I like how your style is coming about. What type of pencil do you use for your studies?

    Hey there !
    I like the picture of the guy with the berret. Looks awesome. About that guy above him: There is something going on with the eyes. I can't really make out what it is, but something seems wrong with it. Hm. Anyway, the rest of him looks real good.
    You studies are sweet, too. That eye stands out, really good job you did there, man !

    Wow, you've improved so much from your first page... I'm really liking the portraits! You've inspired me to try and find some grey paper and white crayons, though I doubt they'll come out anything like yours. Lovely work, keep posting!

    Hey Brain, those portraits are really getting good... especially the king kong one.. v.impressive. just a suggestion but try and spend more time working into some of your anatomy pictures.. for example, rather than the 30 seconds/ 2mins poses.. try a 20 / 40 / 60 min study.. really helped me when i was doin them for my course.. as i said tho just a suggestion

    Vilppu and Kchen in my opinion are the best to study from. Your gestures are getting much better, but some are tending to look a little rubbery or like a bent hose try to overlap your lines more around the joints and important muscles to show structure.

    @Elz. Thanks and good luck experimenting
    @Matte_Art: hey thats a really cool site, didn't know that one! Thanks!
    @Cuervo: unfortunately i dont decide the time. there's a guy with a stopwatch that decides how long time we have to draw. i think i'll start some anatomy studies from images though. To compensate.
    @cole.ossus: Long way to go before I hit kchen quality thanks for the crit, will take it with me to the next life drawing session.

    These latest self portraits are looking really beautiful, man especially in post 129, your proportions are getting really good! And it's just a fantastic rendering, too... The studies are of course looking great, as well.

    @sketcheth: Thanks about the proportions ... then todays update has shit proportions but as long as im taking 2 steps forwards and 1 step backwards it's fine.

    Hey there !
    If I had to criticise something in your drawing, it'd probably be the eyes. I mean, it's not like they'd suck, but as you already said, one can see that you're struggling with them more then with the rest of the drawing.
    The portrait of the bearded dude a few posts back is really good.
    You're also doing a good job with the drapery of the cloths in your recent study.
    And the guy in the anatomy study is totally neat.

    Nice sketches dude. A pile of 'em too. Well done

    Really digging that back study (back muscles frustrate me), and the portrait about halfway up there... really nice stuff. Keep up the pace, and the progress!

    Dude, that's absolutely right. And i bet you more often then not, you'll be taking a lot of steps backward, we all do. It's the journey that's important though, so enjoy it.

    The rendering looks really nice, that is definitely looking good. I think you're doing the right stuff, just keep at it. The self portrait looks like a good start though I'm sure, as you know the face is too small for the head. The main issue seems to be the width of the features. The eyes and the lips seem a little squashed or overly foreshortened somehow. I'm probably wrong on this, but they just feel unnatural. ANyways, keep studying though, you are making progress, even if you can't see it. remember that.

    @Ookchk: Thanks ! i will!
    @sketcheth: Helps alot knowing im on the right path I'll enjoy the journey, Thanks! about the portrait - yeah that jumped up and slapped me in the face when i opened my SB this morning

    todays batch:
    - Lots of sketches of animals from Copenhagen ZOO... damn animals never stand still
    - character from ref - kinda half-assed it.
    - 1 "normal" SP & 2 SP's with expressions and kinda exaggerated features.

    Very nice drawings Braintree... especially the figures. It's obvious you do alot of life drawing and it shows in your work - that kind of study always make drawing better I'd love to see you apply your awesome figure work to more 'fantasy' or imaginative stuff out of your head! Can't wait to see more! Cheers

    hey Brain, those eye studies are getting damned good. and the back study you did showing the tone was very good. The sci fi sp is something i wouldnt mind seeing more of... rather than your anatomy studies try to get some imaginative stuff going... get the concepts going mate!

    This face is slightly distorted. As if every feature is sinking towards the center. But you can always run with it and exaggerated the rest of the features. You been working hard

    With each post you seem to be improving more and more...

    I don't really have any crits, you seem to know what you're doing / where to head.

    Anychance I could get your schedule? Like do you have it pre-planned in advance? Or do you just do what you want to?
