    omg 4 replies!

@ Kristo Novo: thanks for the reply - charcoal poses sounds fun, i think ill try that. As for the environments, ill do some later today or tomorrow.

@ Dilated: Yea i haven't drawn any females - i had not noticed that at all * note to self: start drawing the female figure *

    @ Leon Roé: Thanks

@ Felipe: thank you, i will.

Ok ... i haven't updated for a while, been busy doing non-art things (shame on me!) So all i can show you are some poses, brigdeman, and then my very first real color study - i figure it is about time i start getting more comfortable with colors.

Nice work fumble! So you know Braintree too? He as a nice SB as well.

Your rembrant study is amazing - that would take me like 1 week to complete let alone one day.

I am very excited for you dude because I can tell you're going to be very very good! Keep up the hard work.

And keep doing those posemaniacs until they become easy!

hey! haha ya, i got sick too this week
I really like the dedication you have, and its stuff like that what makes you great you don't like the loomis heads? i think loomis is great with the heads. You should try to apply the loomis method with famous people heads. Then you'll see how simple heads are, but remember, nothings comes easy, it takes much practice! I think you're on the right way, i'll come back from time to time to check your progression!

Frank Gressie: yea being sick sucks .
Well yes i think that loomies is great with heads too, but the head that i copied didn't really teach me anything new. As you say i could try to use the same techniques as loomies, and them draw something totally new, instead of just copying them. ill try that.
    You are welcome back anytime

kingkostas: Thanks ill continue with the studies

Pigeonkill: yea mmaphotography.com is a great reference-site for muscles with skin on top , and anatomy in general.
Thanks for the kind words on the Rembrandt

Wow Fumble, you've been busy, that's cool to see . Nice hands, tackle the problems you encounter when drawing those poses. Also, try to get some "sharpness" in the movie shots .

Anyway, just some tips, just keep going!

    Oh yeah!
Great to see you're doing bridgman studies, His stuff is great! Nice handstudies too!
A tip when doing posemaniacs.. I don't know how many seconds you're working with, but when drawing the character - start with torso and hips and connect them with a line acting as spine, it'll make it a lot easier to lay the rest of the lines that way.
    keep pushing it!

For this image I was wondering when you paint from grayscale to colored flesh tones. Do you use "colorize option" or do you just start adding color on top of the gray. Whenever I do that it' get's all muddy for me.

@ DeeLock: wow you find it inspiring?! well thank you
    I will keep rocking then

@ DefiledVisions: yea bridgeman rule !
As for the posemaniacs; I usually start with the head and then try to build the figure downwards. and most of the time it is 45 sec poses. But starting with the torso and pelvis sounds like a good idea. Ill use that technique on my next poses.

@ Pigeonkill: Yes i began with the "colorize option" and found a warm pinkish color, and used that as a base. I then made a new layer and in the blending modes drop-down list i chose "color". I then painted in some redness on the face and neck and some yellowish on the arms/torso.
(It was actually my brother (BrainTree) that told me that i could do it that way )

    Todays update:

    - poses
    - bridgeman
    - Some drawings of people from reference
    - A lifepainting from my room. Got bored with it so it is not finished

Hi Fumble, great . That's life drawing looks like fun. Keep doing those. A thing I could suggest is that you could start doing some face studies too.

    Looking good.

The progress you've made since post one is rather substantial. Just look at those heads in post one. Some of them have hardly any structure at all and are practically melting! And then look at some more recent ones, particulary those in post #20. Just look! The progress you've made is inspirational for my own little sketchbook. Keep up the regular posting, this stuff is getting good. Have a pat on the ass for it.

@ Lyno: yes i feel that i learn a lot when doing lifedrawing . As for the face-studying i focused a lot on faces on my first two pages here in my sketchbook, but i kept hitting a wall that i couldn't get over, so i started focusing on other things. So yes i really should get back to studying the head.

@ Ekonk: Thank you thank you thank you !!
