Massive Black Artbook!...? Yep. Info inside.

I received a newsletter from CGsociety alerting me to Ballistic Publishing sign up for the upcoming Massive Black artbook.

Is there another thread for this somewhere? I haven't read anything, is there more info?

Edit by Jason: You are right. There is another thread. Here is a sneak peak http://conceptart.org/forums/showthr...64#post2053464

Is the book going to be coming out?

Or is the information of the book going to be coming out?

Ballistic has a email list on their website for the book already.

Yeah.. they gave a full preview at the New Zealand workshop.

I was kind of disappointed to see they had pages of character designs filling up the whole page, while Andrew Jones' beautiful big paintings, like his Soulfly album cover only had a thumbnail size.. :/

Perhaps it has to represent Massive Black and the work they do professionally, but that didn't make sense to me.

Oh jeeze. You guys that didn't go to to workshop missed out on seeing some interiors of the book. It is sexy as hell. See what you miss out when you don't go to the workshops.

An art book ? what a juicy idea.
I hope they won't do like the Café-salé artbook (very good), full of pages and just a few big pictures.

Personal taste. I'm happy to hear an artbook finally with some larger prints of characters.

The books will be available directly through conceptart.org in Jan. It will be in the CA store and we will have banners up to show peeps where to go. Good stuff

It's gorgeous. I have some right here. There are plenty of images that are large and none are too small to enjoy. The printing turned out excellent. Quality is very good. Will try to take some pics as we get closer to release.

This book is Flawless, it is the single most inspiring bunch of pages I've laid eyes on!!!!

Let me put it this way....

Its like a kid in a candy store and that kid was told by his parents that they were buying him the candy store and he will be living in the damn candy store rent free bitches, for as long as he wants. (most likely at the age of 18 that the kid will be kicked to the streets for being a fat lazy diabetic bastard from all the candy consumed over the years, but that's not my point.)

This book is the fcuking Shizzznits!!!! A gift from massive black going into 09'
    and that's FO REAL.

A Dean Cornwell book is about 125-175, so i doubt this will be 300...

I really distrust paypal and i hope you guys find a way i can buy this without using it.

There are two hundred pages of art and cool stuff. It contains a TON of art never released on the site here or anywhere else.

Can't wait. The smallest image is about a quarter page. Everything printed very well. Both the larger and smaller images look very nice.

Will there be a limited Edition one with a slipcover, print or something? Ballistic seems to like doing that and I would probably buy this one like that.

I am extremely happy to say that I too have seen THE BOOK!! Talk about giddy it is an absolutely stunning compilation of art work, I would just like to also add that I buy alot of art books and this one is by far the most beautiful and comprehensive in every aspect. As Jason has mentioned the printed pages are gorgeous and presented in large format. If you want crack in the form of an art book you should definitely get this book.

... but on a more serious tip this book is the shit!
