Hello again concept art .org!
As just a brief introduction, my name is Matt H. I’m 16 (now 18 ) years old, from Auckland New Zealand, and I’ve been drawing for about 4 years.

Cool now that’s out the way…

This is my second real sketchbook at CA, as my last account went down with technical difficulties (which are still to be resolved).That and the fact that my last sb was nearly a year old, I thought it was about time to start up another sketchbook.

And I’ve mentioned this before and I’ll say it again, the Art on this site is of a mind-blowing high standard, and I’m always a little uneasy posting my shit here.


So please rip this sketchbook apart with crits and comments, as any feedback is always greatly appreciated.




P.S. I’m going to put a thumbnail in this post so look for artwork in the second.

And these were done with help from my new friend... the colour pencil!

I used to hate colour pencil's, but now I've come to use them, I find there a great fast, cheep and easy way to add colour to sketches.

nice stuff jail house really liking the colour pencils especially the bird, i crit i would have is to study hair more closely and how light interacts with it.

Sorry guys still haven't done a real still life yet, but I did have a spare 5 minutes to do a quick marker and ink sketch of my Wacom.

jackpot_anjr90- Hay thanks mate, I'm still really trying to find my own style or at lest a style I'm happy with. I hope to get there one day.


I really wanted to redo a sketch to see how much I could improve it, so heres an up date of a Hogarth sketch I did a while back now, just working over the darwing, so can't change too much.
