A tiny update.

Ian thanks for stopping by my sb. You have a great start here. A good eye for texture. Keep that in mind with working with your other digital pieces. Most of them seem to get a bit to "airbrushy". Be careful of your proportions too. Sometimes the figures get a bit squished. I'm digging the designs in the last character update. Keep pushing![]()
Amazing stuff man.
Ninjac - Thanks for stopping by. I hear what you are saying, that airbrushy look drives me crazy, I hate that about my work. I think that I polish things to much. I don;t know, I use a 100% hard brush these days w/ opacity set to pen pressure but it still ends up looking soft. :/
Topcross - Thanks, man.
Since this sketch book got necroed, I feel like I should post some stuff here as well, but 1000 faces (my new sketchbook) takes a lot of my free time.

Hey Velocity, thanks for stopping by! Thanks for that link, some hot stuff there, I thought that that first artist there was Vyle, but it's some other dude that heavily uses his techniques. I might give that jet another go, Vehicles are def not my strong point.

I had started a new sketchbook dedicated to drawing 1000 faces, but I think that instead of trying to keep up 2 books, I'll consolidate everything. So, here's the beginning of that... Sorry some of these suck so hard, but I haven't painted in years and it took me a while to get back to my normal level of suck

Just got back from my honeymoon! Super jacked!
I'm gonna call this finished for now...

Cool work sofar! About your painting...your 'normal level of suck' isnt that bad (Y) a couple of those faces could use darker values here and there, but still looking nice. Keep it up
My sketchbook Comments & Crits always welcome!
kuumehike Thanks!

Awesome stuff. I love your ship designs. They look very organic while still being entirely mechanical.
Metallurgist: Thank you! I am definitely going for organic.
Here's some commissions and sketches and such. Been traveling a lot for the past few months and haven't had much time for art, let alone uploading anything new.
Picked up a couple great books recently and eager to dive into them, "Lessons in Classical Drawing" by Juliette Aristides and "The Artist's Complete Guide to Drawing the Head" by William L. Maughan.

Johnny24: Thanks! I will try to be more productive.
Some sketches.
This is a paintover of one of my pieces done by John English during my portfolio review. The difference is striking! I think that I will have to go back over my stuff after all that I learned from Jason, John and George during the reviews. They are incredibly helpful!

More stuff... A W.I.P and some monster heads.

A little more progress on that wizard guy and a study in attractive proportions.
