Really cool sketchbook!
I really like your cg still life pictures, i'd like to see some more human anatomy and face studies from you and not just sketches.
Keep up the great job!
Alex.
Open for commissions......just PM me.
what material is that you're using in your last updates? Really like the guy with the moustache![]()
thanks snootchy, and dont worry i'll share stuff whenever i can =)
fallenangel thanks for your opinion. i'll keep that in mind, tomorrow i'm free so maybe i'll study some anatomy as you suggested, and eventually post some stuff here
Lav thanks, the material are some white and sanguinea raw bars. not pencils, neither soft pastels. i just can't find any image on the internet.. but they might look like soft pastel square bars.
Here are a few sketches and this weeks chow, me and my ferret.
I like your ink drawings with the grey washes especially and great job with those digital still lives! The life drawings seem to start to have something like an own style but watch out for proportions. I noticed some too short torsos and arms. It's good to construct the figures with your anatomy knowledge even when you're drawing from life because it helps the proportions and teaches you better to draw figures from imagination too. And even when the figure has cloths, sketch the basic forms of the nude first, remember that they're the basic forms of much of the clothes too. So I second Fallenangel's suggestion about studying anatomy, Loomis books are good to start with. But again, great observing skills. I like the oil studies, colors look accurate and brush strokes look nice and confident. I also really like the layout of the band poster. Keep up the good work!
thanks smuli, i will defenitly do some longer studies from now on. today i'll share this one, made with some mixed traditional materials. pencil, ink, sanguinea, colored pencils, brush pen.. made from a photo (too bad i can't link to the photographer's site because i didn't write the link down when i saved this photo on my hard drive, i'm sorry)

hi!
today's one.. in spite the A4 sheet is small for the upper birds to fit, i added a bit of paper with ducktape behind it, and i can bend that piece of paper out and actually see the birds just as you see them here =D
Wow bro, big improvements! Really digging the progress already Andre, some great style coming though that last one to!
Keep it up!
matt
JailHouseRock2 thanks! I will try to keep it up indeed
here's some more sketchlings for chow..
...and some plugs
this week's chow
enjoyed it! learned...
I currently have a wacom volito2 (very small tablet) with 512 levels of pressure.. and nothing more.
I'm switching this month to a wacom intuos 4 M... I don't know when it was released and i dont know if i want to wait till another model comes out..
I could spend some more in a cintiq 12" but the point is: why? when i buy a cintiq, it will have to be the best. so i'll stick for the intuos 4 M
i'm expecting a lot of better performance and painting results...
Nice!!! i'm really digging that ChoW![]()
Many tings to say...
Beautiful drawings man!!
Your work is improving... your technique is getting better...( you work hard) but at the same time you are finding more things to say in your draws...( I envy you).
Your draws connect directly the brain of the person that is watching the draw with yours... nothing between,( no words no sounds, no signs, only images) thats a very strong... you have to find things to show.
I find brilliant the way you take the draw out of the paper.. the wire of the plugs, or the birds in the tower.
I´ll keep an eye on you man... your work is getting very interesting.
More interested in learning than in defending....

very interesting afternoon in the reading section of fnac
those are great!Could you give an estimate on how long you worked on each page?
Lav I took longer on the pencil ones. maybe 15 mins each page(size A4). actualy, the guys on the first pages of the earlier post are the same ones in this post, on the nds sketches image file, the first two eheh
the contour ones are made with a regular pen and took me between 1 to 5 minutes each.
Here are some more nintendo doodles and 2 scans from my A4 sketchbook
(you can watch the process of the nds paintings in my colors! gallery here:

Hey André
I like your pencils. They are looking good so far
For colors i would suggest you do a few small photo. Just try go get the colors right!
In my opinion colors are your weakest points at the moment.
Keep it up!
