    A Simple Task.

I don't know if anyone wants to try this - It's kind of an motivational task that I think can help people who feel they haven't much to be happy about. Often we take for granted trivial things in life that make us happy. But if we can learn to appreciate the small things more often, I believe that is the gate way to appreciating so much more in life.

    So here's your task:
List at least 5 SIMPLE things that make you happy. Only TWO of them can cost up to a limit of 7 dollars! Engage/indulge in this list often. It can only grow.

So what's on your list? I'd like to see, maybe I can add to mine. Dooo it.

(One of mine was: cigarette, cup of Earl Grey while relaxing outside for 10 minutes. but I just quit smoking So now I just sit outside with a cup of tea like an effing idiot)

    Hmm

    1. when a piece comes together and i sit back and go, hmm.. yeah thats not perfect but i dont suck after all!

2.when i sing a song and it sounds really cool and feels really cool (this dosnt happen enough though! )

3.when just jaming musically and you and the other person are in sync, just a cool feeling.

    4. that feeling you get after sprinting for a amount of time or at a speed you've not reached or lifiting a weight youve not been able to before

    5. when your out with people you really get on with and everything is just good no matter what happens.... i've not had that in a long time now though

see, i still feel like crap though my life is soo lonely argh..

Having been pretty much a poor bum all my life i've learned to appreciate the little things a lot. My guitar costs a little more than seven dollars, but every time play it i'm home. And if i count every time i play it its a lot less than 7 dollars a pop.

Sketching is basically a given around these parts. (or is it? its the lounge after all..)

cooking! i really love cooking, and i've mastered the art of cooking cheap. Its especially fun cooking with/for others.

picking stuff apart. If stuff breaks, especially mechanical or electrical shit, i love taking it apart. Preferably to fix it, but its fun no matter what.

    1) Sunsets and atmospheric conditions. The place I live is kinda a shithole but when the sun is low it has the most amazing trippy lighting effects, to the extent that you'd look at them and think "No. Photoshopped". This has furnished me with a new understanding of the whole "warm/cool.shadow" cliches

    2) Tea. I love me a nice cup of tea.

    3) Internet museums (ARC etc) . I already paid for the cable line so it's free. I enjoy a lazy Sunday just clicking on random artists, it's mostly crap but now and again you unearth a gem.

Todays gem, William Merritt Chase, teacher of Ed Hopper. Absolutely badass.

    4) Cooking. I looove cooking. It's a lot like art really, take an accepted winning formula and tinker with it while adding your own twist. If I cooked lots of something the missus will usually take it in to work the next day and if she gets "Duuude, that smells awesome, what is it?" my head swells with pride..

Vanity is bad, but I am a decent cook.

    5) Books. God I love my local libraries. The collected wisdom of most of Western civilisation. For free, but only if you can be bothered to read it.
