    Good improvement so far!

You've got some crazy pencil skillz, I like the way you keep your line drawinggs crisp and clean and still portray a lot of sense of weight.

And your painting skills are getting better and better, I really like the atmosphere in one of the previous landscape studies.

    Keep it up man!

justinkhuong: Thank you, and I'm glad I make you appreciate anatomy and composition studies! I myself think that this, combined with knowledge of light and color is the most important of all
And no, I only work in Photoshop. Not because it's better, but because it's all I know how to work with :p

Ledd: Thank you so much for the kind words! Keep at it, man

    Hive_minD: Tusen takk!

Nicky S: Thank you! I'm trying to improve as much as possible, but it's hard, you know? Keep it up yourself!

It seems I'm not that good at keeping myself busy with drawing and painting during the summer, but here's something I did tonight. I'm really pleased with this one, as I didn't use any reference for anything at all, which is very unlike me (those of you who know me should know this), but because I know that doing what I'm worst at will teach me the most I started this one. I realize it's not the most original concept or anything, but it's more a how-light-works and anatomy practice than anything else

    Critique is more than welcome!

cool portrait here - nice focus on the eyes, but im not too sure about the mouth. her mouth looks more like one belonging to a bath duck. BTW, great horses! and omg, look at that hand!

The portrait looks awesome, but to tell the truth I like the colors in #154 better, I don't know it looks more mesmerizing. I disagree with eparts and Jofx, her mouth looks nice.
The molesking sketches look nice too.
    Keep it up!

eparts: I completely agree with you now that it's been a while since I drew it, and I'll look into making them look a bit more relaxed and natural. And not-like-a-duck's-beak

Jofx: New stuff is HERE now, but you've probably seen it all already

Tigermilk: Dance away! And thank you

Rustveld: Thanks! I think eparts and jofx were saying her mouth looks weird, not nice :p I'll see about the colors, and thanks for the feed back!

Mischeviouslittleelf: blir litt bakvendt å digge noe du selv gjør bedre kanskje, men tusen takk Og kom igjen, kom med litt ekte kritikk! Skal så klart prøve å komme med (nesten) daglige updates! Plis ikke dask!

Here are some things from my sketchbook, and the second image is actually from imagination! Which I'm very proud of, as things I draw without ref tend to turn out not-as-good-as-this. Last week we had still life painting with fruit and drapes, and the last images are of that. I've become kind of obsessed with drapes these last days, and remember the Mischeviouslittleelf doing drape studies sometime last year, which inspired me NOW, a year or so later. Anyway, I'm having fun with it

Awesome structure on everything here, the hatching is perfectly clean; what pencil do you use? It looks like an H, but there are places that are extremely dark, like where certain lines cross

Great work so far; are you in college or just studying on your own?

    Thanks a lot, you guys!

drd: I use a Pilot mechanical pencil with 0.5mm lead, it looks like this:http://www.rockbottomdeals.biz/prod_...8D42C8CCE6.jpg The packs of lead I buy say it's HB, but I think they're actually more like 2B.

Sweet sketchbook-you have great line quality and a good sense of form! Keep crankin them out! I would say if you have a problem with drawing from your head-work on that. Keep posting! This SB rocks!

Here's what I realize is the first ever traditional painting I post here. It's a self portrait I worked on last week, which I'll try finishing when I find the time. Mirror + cardboard + acrylics

Heisann sveisann.
