cool stuff, looks like you really stepped things up with that video game project and really worked on your creative process. one thing that you could try with the faces might be to run some photos through filter like cutout(under filter gallery) or posterize(under adjustments) and take a look at some of the value shapes.

Some more figures and enviros couldnt hurt either. Kchens notes on figure drawing are my favorite http://analyticalfiguresp08.blogspot...&max-results=7 .

For the head spheres here http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1268321610 you can get a normal line that projects out of the surface by passing a line through the center of the circle and through a point on the surface marked by the ellipse.

on a side note http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1240170197 I recognized the figure from the bottom middle, did a study of it a while ago, just found that amusing.

    more studies!

I see you doing a lot of anatomy studies - and this is right thing to do - keep going. For now you've got nice rendering, but shapes\anatomy lacks some strength. Like those digi faces )

thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. youve made really good progress especially with your colours. the cubes and spheres need a little work to stop them being distorted but you will get there.

Cool environments. Do alot of photostudies from terragalleria so you get more confident with them. You will get a sense for the values. For the faces and figures I would suggest to get some more construction going on. Use simple forms for the body. Have a look at Kevin Chen's tutorials here. For the faces I can recommend Bridgman's method of simplifying the head in different forms.

Hope this helps and good luck .

Nice studies mate! Your faces have improved a lot! Although I think the eyes tend to be too big. There are a lot of great resources for learning the anatomy of the human head. I would strongly recommend taking a look at some Your pose studies look awesome! Keep doing them!

hey maeshanne, long time brotha, i like it all especially all the anatomy studies! see some big improvements since i last stopped by, keep up the good work!

I agree with yor, on the custom brushes, it's cool to try out and experiment but personally i find my self always going back to basics. But hot damn Vyle's brushes are just too hard to resist, y o why that talent bastard!! I like the enviro sketches u did up top with the custom brushes!
