    Thank you, gentlemen.

I've been taking walks recently. I'd say I'm a bit inexperienced with observing environments.
    Thanks for looking.

LtPlissken: Good to see you are posting again and thank you for your patience.

I thought I'd start a new sketchbook seeing as the forum is getting back on it's feet but decided against it when there's nothing wrong with the old one. Except for rigorous self-improvement.
Trying out new stuff, see what sticks. There's just so much shit to do nowadays. Here's some doodlies in no particular order.

    Thanks for looking.

MattNB: Thank you. There's not much to what I do, just draw. Much to improve.

I'm a bit stressed as I don't have enough time to focus on purely drawing nowadays.
Here's something I forgot to post. How is the composition on the first picture? I think background elements will either kill it or balance it.

that rabbit is great! I love it how you used the colours, just gave me a chill.

I'm just wondering, if your very soft digital technique suits your other work. I like your pencil sektches a lot - I think that maybe a bit rougher painting style would add more life to the painting and would work better with your characters. Because they feel more rough or dangerous in you drawings, that feeling wents away with all the soft eges. At least in my opinion. On the other hand, it could be cool as a contrast for demons, to have some soft qualities of an angel but still be evil inside.

Nonetheless, it's very interesting to see you doing very different stuff! That extra frog is very cool too.

Valyavande: Thank you. I know what you mean. It's just a way I've been sketching lately, loose and soft for the underwork and taking it further from there when I have all the necessary stuff in place. I haven't had time to take the idea home properly yet though.
Ian Barker: Suuuuuup! Thanks for stopping by.

Such great work here. I love your drawings from life! You capture things really nicely. Also, that RABBIT. Holy shit, I love that picture. It makes me think of Albrecht Durer's study of a hare!

Here's something I forgot to post. How is the composition on the first picture? I think background elements will either kill it or balance it.
Why don't you design it with a background in mind from the start? If there's anything I've learned in my design class (and holy fuck, Lawrence Marvit is HARDCORE but the best man to learn this stuff from) it's that if you want to design a picture of figures with a bg, work with the bg from the beginning. (Or generally, ALWAYS think of the whole picture from the start. Not just with figures.) Don't just add it in after the figures. Think of the whole picture to make it one closed unit.

    Check these out too:

LtPlissken: Thanks mate. It's the area where I have most confidence and freedom (through limited medium if that makes any sense).
Bjulvar: Thank you. I do try.
Kjesta: Good to see you back, congrats on getting in the workshop. That is sound advice, it's exactly what I should be doing. I have rough Ideas for characters but they always lack surroundings.
lionheartGFX: Don't worry I can wipe it off.

I've been accepted as an exchange student to University College Falmouth Digital Animation course for the coming spring, we shall see how that turns out.
Here's some stuff, I'm very tired at the moment. I should be more professional about my approach, random doodling will get me nowhere.
Not sure where I will take the robed figure, the pose needs a rework.

Allright. I managed to retrieve some stuff from my broken PC and am now succesfully situated in the UK.
