My name is Markus and I come from Finland. I joined these forums because I want to become better at something I enjoy, drawing. I am no master but I wish to learn alot from the wonderful talents that post here.
Tips for improving are more than welcome.

Not much of an update but I will post anyway. I need to make a short drawn animation as a degree work and this is a sketch of the possible main character. Mind the horrible face, it's something I definately need to practice doing.

Hello. Nice start to your SB. Have to be honest here, critting most of your stuff so far might be a little difficult. The stuff isn't bad at all, but most of it could use a lot more time. If you want some honest, constructive feedback it might be good to show us how you handle the basics by posting some things done from life, where you've given yourself enough time make the best drawing you can. Don't worry about quantity, worry about doing the best piece you can each time no matter how long it takes. That time spent getting things right is where you'll really start to train your eye and your hand skills will follow. Just my two cents, and I enjoy your stuff. Good Luck Man.

My friend asked me to do a concept drawing of a dark sorcerer for his mod project. It is still a WIP but I'd really appreciate any tips you can give as I'm still pretty new to digital stuff. I'm working with Gimp.

Hello. I had this on paper but thought I'd give it a shot in photoshop for a little warmup. I studied muscle anatomy, the pose is mine but I watched various pictures of muscles for reference. I need to do much more stuff like this.
I also did a bit more on the skeleton thing.

Any thoughts or comments? I need the crits.

the anatomy looks good, the head seems a bit small. hard to tell in its perspective just my first impression. i like it though keep sharing

you have a lot of nice works you have the base and now you are on your way to improving them.Improving your anatomy will enable you to use value(it will show when you will start rendering)
Some times a good light/shadow spoting can indicate volumes in the best way.Try to make some shadings(flat ones,but accurate)

Okay. I've been drawing game concepts for a project called Studio Arete. I was told it's ok to post it so here is the stuff and a little more done on skeleton.

Any advice and crits are more than welcome.

Its good that you work on a project cause that will give you a lot of experience.
For now i may suggest using hard edge brushes.And never use burn and dodge(burn and dodge only for special effects and only sometimes)
keep up !!!

...So I started over. I think I learned just how important the flipping thing is.

Great stuff! You seem to have a good grasp of anatomy. My only advice would be to keep drawing, particularly from life and day to day observation - would be nice to see some of your doodles on the go!

Todays work for the project, a scavenger grilling bugs.
Any help you can provide would be sweet. For example, what is good and what needs more work (everything needs more work but you get the idea)? I have thick skin so any crits are welcome.
