It's been awhile.. I haven't been too happy with my art lately, but I'm working on it.
"Average" face studies
I'm hoping to do more ethnicities later on.
Something I started working on today.
theUNKNOWNsketcher - Thank you!
Some stuff I've been working on.
The clothes are really boring atm, need to work on that.
Continued with the body today, next up costume.
A couple of quick sculpture studies I forgot to post
And another average face, this time an Uzbek.
She stood out the most to me in the collection of average female faces.

Love how you draw portraits, keep it up .

Today's character sketch, redesigning an older character.
I should probably do thumbnails before I begin these.
will123will - Thanks man, glad you like them
Nice updates. I really like the way you draw faces
GEB - Thank you, glad you like'm.
Revidescent Thank you! That's the second time someones mentioned the balance issues.
I have to make sure it doesn't become a bad habit. Thanks for pointing it out.

I seem to have given her wandering eyes..
Lovely studies, but for average people they seem extremely attractive.
I imagined if i averaged all the females I see id end up with an extremely old baby with a crazy melted face.

Velocity Kendall - Thank you. I might have used the averaged attractive faces for those.
There should be a hand, but the fingers looked like sausages
You'd be surprised though, when averaging a bunch of faces it will smoothen out the skin and any symmetrical irregularities, making for a more attractive composite.
This Morning's Warm Up
Character Concepts WIP
NickyBeats - Thank you, happy to hear that!
Some much needed hand studies
mehran - Thank you, but honestly I need to start drawing different subjects as well.
I don't think I can intentionally create a style, it should come naturally, I just need to push myself to do more finished work.
Duplicitious - Thank you, I'm having fun drawing the concepts.
Something different for a change.
youre amazing, i love your costumes they are always different and give strong and clear impressions, your figure still could do a little more practice, oh and i forgot your concepts are always imaginative you have great spark keep on drawing i want to see more!
My character folder keeps filling up, now I just need to finish them.
lionheartGFX Thank you! I've been drawing more costumes lately, I'll have some finished concepts soon.
Awesome figurative work, especially the portraits. For a little crit on the last guy - I think his arms feel a tad short and the legs a bit thin compared to the upper body. Remember the wrist usually lines up with the crotch when the arm is relaxed next to the body as his appear to be. Keep up the good work!
Stunning and beautiful sketchbook!
You have such a lovely way of rendering, soft at the right places, and hard edges where neccessary.
Not to even speak about the faces, they are gorgeous
I agree about practicing outside of one's comfort zone though, so what about some environment studies for example?
Working on some more character, after awhile I forget what I've drawn, so I'm posting these up as a reminder.
dierat - Thank you. I agree about the hands, I tried to draw them in some kind of perspective, but they should still be longer. I'm glad the upper body reads well, now I just have to add some muscles to the legs. Thanks for the crit!
Lyraina - Thanks! I try to pay attention to my edgework.
It's always nice to hear that people like my faces
I'm busy drawing a world map at the moment, so expect some more environments later on.
I completely forgot about these.
Excuse the bad photo's, before I was just being lazy, but now my scanner won't work.
And I really wanted to finish all these drawings and scan them.
mehran - Thanks! I completely agree with you, I wasn't going to post it at first because of that exact reason, it really is a lot less dynamic. I noticed this along with some other characters, so I have some revising to do.
Hi, you have an amazing sketchbook
Keep it coming!
Character Concept WIP
I really wanted to do some portraits today, diving straight into colours, I like the result better than beginning in b&w.
After going through my piles of sketches, I really noticed that I allow myself way to much room for mediocrity.
I have to stop drawing mindlessly, I have to think and try to visualize what I'm drawing.
Mila - Thank you, I'm happy to hear that my sketchbook can inspire someone!
Izene - Thanks, will do!
Progress on the Hawk Handler
I'm wondering if I put the weight on the wrong leg..
I just noticed this isn't much different from the character on the top of this page, I could have just continued on that one.
