Hey Sam. Your rendering got a lot better in those last posts and the faces from mind are awesome. Keep working like that.

and you forgot the eye and mouth in one of your studies
Saying "I bet my study will look better" just makes you come off as a cunt, though. I know you're not one, from talking to you on msn 'n all of that, but shit. lol

But, to the point, Samuel: I think that you're getting back into the habit of making noses/eyes/mouths look similar, with your studies. Like, seeing where they are, and then using your imagination a little too much. And that transfers into your own work by having similar faces on different frames/face shapes (I hope all of that came off as coherent).

Your improvement is there, though, that's for sure. Keep it going, brodda.

Yea man you're hitting it pretty hard. A great improvement is visibile in your stuff from mind. Really loving some of the faces you're doing. Really wickeeed. Rendering is also greatly improving though I still think you push it too far at times which makes your characters look like africans lol. That is exaggerating ofcourse but you get the point. I love the lightning in the last digi btw. Harhar

That last batman pic has really good colours.
Buuut, his mounth and nose are abit awkward in relation to eachother.
I also think that making those bat ears more stifll solid, sharp would improve the overall feel. ( if you aimed for what you have now, just ignore this )

    Cheers mate.

Taaasty update man. Want to comment on the Natalie Portman study from the previous post because your brush work is super awesome in there. Totally love it. As for this post. Gestures look pretty decent. Fairly proportionate just learn to draw feet lol.
The dude in the shorts is kinda overrendered. The left chest muscle is waaay to dark and much more light would be hitting it. I say minimize your shading and don't use so mid tones rather keep more stuff white and balance that out. Now his left side is way darker than the left.
Batman piece is just stunning. Looking really sexy and all that. Just add in some detail. Especially around his eyes. Some wrinkles should do. Ciaaao

Hey dude - been a while since I commented around here! You are levelling-up at quite a rate now!!

My biggest crit of you (and Miles if you're reading this) is the way you keep saying how 'shit' or generally rubbish your work is - stop please! Even if it isn't quite right or something is bugging you keep more positive and give yourself constructive crits instead! Ahem! ..there said it :tidies collar and straitens clothes after rant: ... lol

Digging that photo study - yes it may be a bit rough here and there but it's bursting with energy, action and great lighting!

Bat is really very good - looking forward to the finished piece

You're rockin mate - keep it up!

I like the authenticity in the tank. Looks very ellegant. Has a great amount of character ehee. ALso I love the surfer dude study. THough his face is to angular (picasso ftw ;p?) I love the colours and textures.

That tank looks quite skewed. But studies and pencil renders very nice - definite improvement since beggining. Keep up good work.

hey man never seen this Sb before and have to say its amazing how much improvement is seen inside its pages! Inspirational stuff - I like your studies above on the foot (something that I need to work on myself) and I like the rough surfer paint above - lots of movement in there. The V for vendetta study is cool although Id say perhaps watch the proportions a bit, she seems very wide in the face and on average it is around 5 eye widths. (Although obviously she does have quite a small face :p)

    Keep up the hard work!

    Heyia, dropping by again.

Lovely paints on the batman, really digging that work. Show more and more like it
Your movie stills are looking great as well, very nice lighting on them!

Yeah I still dig the batman and I also really respect what you're doing with the feet by tackling your weakness.

Keep working buddy and go far, looking forward to where the future will take us all
*did that sound zen? hahaha keep cracking!!

you have been working pretty hard on that batman looks pretty good! i would say work on the neck area a little more it looks like his neck is slightly behind the body, so its not really attached. i guess if you select the whole head and neck and move it slightly forward and to the left it will be fixed
