Well, it's taken a long time for me to get the guts (and the scanner) to post a sketchbook. I need a lot of work and I think that shows. I'm just doing studies for now and I'd like any help I can get. Thanks guys!

Nothing? Noone? Come on guys, I need help. It's obvious...

You're on a good start. I see you have a certain "cartoonish" slant, many curved lines on the first anatomy studies. Try to see other Sketchbooks over here to compare.
Keep practicing! That's the most important thing. Also, don't care too much if people comment here or not, just keep doing your thing.![]()
Hey! Thanks for the crit! Yeah my "cartoonish" slant comes from working in a comicbook store in highschool and it never really left. lol. oh well, guess that's my style...

hey dude! thanks for stopping by my SB! I searched CA for loomis pdf and got stuck with some lost links and a torrent which isnt working! In other words: I`m a technical greenhorn! so instead of just sending you a PM I thought I take a look at your SB which is very promising so far! more of those studies!!
meanwhile I wanted to ask you if you got time and if your loomis files are still available? =) if yes: PM me, or [email protected]
cheers
Great start to your SB - liking the studies so far. No real crits at the moment - just keep it up!
Thanks guys! I'll try and post more tonight. Does anyone know of any good shading tutorials?

Good start man. Keep it up, and keep doing as many figure studies as you can. I see you've got a hold of Loomis, which is a great start.
I'd say for now concentrate more on the porportions rather than the more detailed muscle structures etc.
Interesting start though, I like that Buddha head.![]()
Thanks for the comments guys, more to come tonight, my computer is now virus free and isn't coughing and hacking phlegm all over the place.

That side view poportion study is especially nice! Looking forward to seeing more!
Hi man! This look good, nice start, keep drawing all days and soon you improve a lot, you will see. If you´re tired of this sometimes, then try to do something imaginative or fantastic to relax. Thanks for stopping in my SB.
hi there! thanks for stopping by my book
your sketches remind me alot about how i used to draw before
you seem to draw very hard lines! try to start with very low pressure on your pencil, to get a good sense of what you want to draw, then accentuate the lines you really want.
this has helped my immensely in my own drawings!
keep the studies going, good work!

I just got my Wacom yesterday! OMG! I'm so excited. My early Christmas present I guess. Here's my first attempt at anything. It was for DSG 1430. WOW....I need work.

Once you get used to the tablet it'd be great to see some proper colour studies!![]()
hey there°
Q2: you asked about enviro tuts…
well, I searched CA and net… and there is no tut……but I think that´s because you don´t need a tut for enviros but for digital painting! The only I did so far is bumskee´s Digital Painting 2
but nevertheless there are a few things you could do about enviros:
-copy work you like to a folder and try to get some hints on how they do things, you´ll end up with great, inspiring library
-do a lot photo-studies!! the help a lot!!
-also do perspectives!! very important!!!!
-observe some old masters landscapes
-maybe doodle right away sometimes! also good to get into painting
-do some traditional stuff as well
- try to get some action in your enviros…like architectonal stuff (something thats missing in my stuff)
-hmm....WORK AS HELL!!!
hope I could help
Looks like you're on the right path. Doing studies is great practice. Also I like your Buddha. But what that giant robot is doing is just... Wrong. Just plain wrong.
Thanks for checking out my sketchbook.
So where is that apple you said you were trying?![]()
Yyyyyyyeahhh....about the apple...lol. Well I started something, but then I got hungry. Hmmm. Yeah.
I'll be attempting another one soon though.![]()

O.K now let`s ROCK
Well well. I certainly has been a minute. I need to get back on this pony. My Wacom has been little more than a mouse pad lately and my sketchbook is collecting dust. I've been too busy with school and work to do much here. But I'm back and I'm going to push myself more to get something on here every couple of days. So here's a little something for myself.
