    Smile Geoxen's sketchbook

Hello there, I'm a 17 co-op student at an animation studio for a semester. I was suggested to start a sketchbook thread, so here we are

While at the studio I've been drawing from a lot of different artists, so for now creativity in my drawings is in low supply. There will be only a few that are "my own creation", but that will be few for now. I'll start off with a few Disney drawings, so this work is owned by Disney.

I have a lot more to post still, but won't do so just yet. Some of this will include Frank Frazetta's work, some Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, and some gestures based on Bridgman's book: Complete Guide to Drawing From Life.

    Enjoy!

Alright, I'll have to re-size them soon.

Here some work I did that is based off of Frank Frazetta's work, and here there will be nudity. Work is owned by Frank Frazetta.

The second last one was a rough, and the last one was a cleaned up version of it. (in case you're wondering)

Hopefully these will be of proper size, if not I'll edit them again.

Wow, nice drawings! And just 17... I envy you. What are you studying that allows you to co-op with a studio?

I look forward your next drawings...

tayete: Thank you, I was studying animation at the studio.

I haven't submitted anything since October, so I've been doing a lot of drawing since then. Even so, I'm going to post sketchs that are recent.

I'm going to be posting some gestures done based off of posemaniacs, so there won't be much variation in body types.

Done in china marker (which I've grown fond of), pencil, or charcoal.

Each pose is done in approximately 90 seconds give or take.

I've also did some anatomy practice, and a doodle at some point for fun.

    Some more gestures done today.

62 and 64 are weird, or out of proportion. I've also noticed, that I draw a lot of posterior views.

    Practice is practice.

Once again, posemaniacs at 90 seconds. I've been drawing slowly today, been a little edgy too. Got to relax more and not think, just draw.

    Any who

Delayed post, yet again. I've got to get my priorities straightened out...

Anyways, here are a few things I've done. Nothing much but it's something... I guess?

Moving along now. I did a lip study based off of a blog post by: John Kricfalusi. Nothing too extravagant, but I had fun.

I did some fun doodles with china marker, a generic soldier and a 50's biker. Had reference for the bike.

I also did a very weird caricature of a buddy of mine, could be better though.

Finally, I've done some boxing as well. More or less for fun, and part of it is due to an interest in boxing. Reference used as usual.
