This is the first time I try this kind of portrait/character painting (less realistic but more paint-like) so please dont laugh.

Photoshop CS 2, reference for face's ratio is based on errr.... myself (with a mirror ek ek, but be warned, I'm a guy.)

Why would anyone laugh. I think it looks amazing. Colors are well saturated and easy on the eye. I like it a lot.

Good job, start from a guy's face as ref to achieve a very feminine face is a true success.
The pic as a real fairy ambiance.
Everything good except the hair implantation. They are not supposed to start from the middle face.

You know, as a concept artist-digital painter, I also love to write something an illustrate it for myself he he. It's kind of fun.

I ask myself: "Where're fairy tales come from?"
In my imagination, non-magical humanity and magic creatures had lived together.
But He brought all of that magical and fairy in to the Old World.
And He created the safer New World for humanity.
The Worlds're so close.
The gate between Worlds, Reality One and Magic One.
Think Mighty and Invincible.
So small, like a book.
So thin, like a slide.
That gate, the book of Fairy Tales with She is the Guardian.
"Just never tell them about that
And stay away from The end.
Because it's ultimate."
But She still breaks the first Law, and tell us stories about Old World and it's wonders. Each of us, with the copy of that gate, the Fairy Tales Book, unleash our imaginary world and never let it truly reach The end.
So She destroys the first Law to protect the Second Law. The Law of Endless Imaginary.

The basics of male and female faces are the same. I guess one just needs to emphasize or de-emphasize aspects of bone structure and so forth to change gender. Great work on these!

Really fantastic job with lighting, shadow, color, form, reflectivity, etc... I especially like the painting with walking machines on the alien planet. Keep creating stuff like this and I'll keep looking at your posts.
