I love the idea of the last piece but the boy looks too cartoony. It would look better if he was more realistic. Try these references or search an adequate one.

Not harsh enough! lol Thanks for the link though. but I do gree with you. I havent drawn faces that much, especially real ones anyway, and I havent practiced rendering them as often as I should. I'm a bit lost with that last painting... I think I should leave it for now and study some more.

ah, your graycales and armordesigns are kick-ass. you got some probs with colors i see. (sunset version is much better) try to get a bigger colorpalettes into your works. blue istnt just blue. gray isnt just gray and red isnt just red. add more colors and coloured shadows. 1 rule: warm light - cold shadow, cold light - warm shadow. you ll make it ... keep posting!

Awesome tip on the cold and warm lights and their shadows. Thanks for that I'll definitely keep that in mind and have to test them out. I'm still such a noob at whats important. I appreciate your help man.

Yeah the style of this was pretty much inspired by Fable's concept art. I wasnt aiming for realism.
And the golem has no left arm tis broken..haha

I remember a friend at work told me how to build an sprite from a concept but i totaly forgot how to do that
I really enjoy those arcade games such Darkstalkers and streetfighter.

Ah haha. This is my first Sprite... Turned out ok though! im happy hahaha. My friend just told me to set the brush to pen and I just went from there I hope I can make the animation part

But how you translate the high res image to the sprite size?

Ah you have to do it by hand takes a long time to do at first. I basically shrunk the high res concept down to about 120 pixel height and drew over it in another layer pixel by pixel...I dono if theres another way but thats a start for me heh

I finally managed to get his Stance/Breathing animation done. Took me a while to figure out heh... this is my first sprite animation so hope its good!

Onto the attack animation! I got the dash and stop sorted. I will render everything after I have the animation sheet done properly!
