Its been some time since I posted or actually draw anything...its been a long summer!
Anyway with this update I include a design of a character for a japanese styled game competition. But as everytime I end up with choices of some sorts. SO CRITS AND SUGGESTIONS ARE VERY VERY WELCOME!!!
(Hyung-Tae Kim heavily influenced this character design)
Trying out different accents with the lower clothing.

This is a nice character and style but I think the posing could be better. As for the clothing I think probably image 2 is better for now.![]()
Thanks Cout.
Here's some stuff I've been working on.

That Optimus Prime looks ssiiiccckk!![]()
yours is one of those badass threads that I cant leave, once I started watching...really cool stuff in here. I like those costume designs a lot, they give me this feeling of anime videogames, and I mean the cool ones :-)
Congrats for being published in ImagineFX. That sure is an achievement!
Sulphur - Thanksworked hard on him for weeks!
KingElvis - Thank you so much for stopping by! and I'm glad you like my threadThanks again.

More conceptual stuff. Just a quick WIP for a paladin type character

Nice stuff. Great balance of strokes and readability. Nice enviros, too.
I have an idea! there should be a "Best Sketchbook of the Year" competition! i think this would qualify

Your characters are looking really tight. Both pretty well drawn and designed! My big criticism for now would probably be that most of these are based on generic settings. Pretty much everyone's portfolio has demons, knights, anti-heroes in hoodies and robo-dudes. I'd be interested if there are things that you come up with that are more unique.![]()
1 million ponies - Thanks
APW - Hahaha That would be cool
zeo-x - Thanks man! Theyre undergoing a re-selection of the top 20 2d artists on GA, hopefully I'll get it this time
Liffey - I realised that I am using generic themes...These are mostly what clients want, because it's what I'm good at. But I'd love to try new things! I will search![]()
another quick update

Awesome sketchbook, man. I really love your style! The last paladin concept was great.
And is that a LuVisi-filter you're using on those last sketches?

OK, sorry for not posting as regular as I have done. Been out of it for a while and paint whenever a competition is on only...
But anyway, here's what I've been working on in the past couple of months!
I've been working on the Pre-Dominance War 5 competition.
And here I'm messing around with the COW concepts for round#199.

Thanks RBeek![]()
AAAAAnd finished with my first C.O.W concept. ONTO A NEW ONE!!!!!!!

Your stuff is awesome, that's just how it is. A LuVisi-filter is just a grain filter that he uses, here's the tutorial he put up about it. Looks like you're using a similar kind of filter.![]()

Really awesome concepts! The first #319 ones have nice flow!
Your painting style and colour choice in a few cases remind me of matt dixon's.
Congrats on finishing your first COW!
It's awesome, but I think the castle distracts a lot from the main subject.
It has a lots of details, and is so clear, even though it is so far away..
Keep up the wonderful work in here![]()
wow! stunning colors and characters
BlackDelphin - Better now?And thanks alot for pointing me to Matt Dixon! Awesome find for me!
hücumkedi - Thanks
Another Concept.... lol DONT JUDGE ME I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING!!! I'm just outside my comfort zone right now.

Beware burning bridges. The industry is small.
Ive got a question for ya Mohzart, when you were at the start of this sketchbook what work did you do, and research to help develop your costume design?
