man, amazing sketchbook and creativity !! one thing to say is that your colors are really strong, but your values and edges lacks of strenght, and instead of trying to fix that, you're actually adding lots of details to try to hide that, i really like what you do and that's why i really wanna see you go really far !!

I really appeaciate the crit! It's why I'm posting these things here but *sigh* not a lot of people give constructive criticism! So thanks for that.

Your putting in some serious work bro! Nice sketchbook. Your imagination is fantastic. I would say your weakness is values. It's my weakness also. As far as tutorials go i don't know of any that go over values at this moment. I just watch people paint on live stream and learn how they lay down value.

Those are vector? Those are insane. Must have taken forever. I take it those are in-game assets. Is the work done in this style and for this kind of game usually in vector instead of raster?

Yup. All vector. You can check out the game on Facebook (Village Life, by Playdemic) most of the assets in the image are 100% the size of the in-game assets. But I sharpened the image a little, but quality wise all the same. It depends on what I'm designing really, the shelters / huts / houses take the longest due to unique rotations etc. But I usually sketch and paint in this style before I trace over with vector. Thanks man

thos last paintings are nice ! really like the fanart ! Concerning values, i really suggest to read loomis' creative illustration, there is a big chapter concerning the form principle and values theories, etc, you must read this at least once in your life !!! keep up your work dude !!
