cdejong: tips? uhmmm, not really, i do them on heavy paper, with a thin layer of gesso on it. Be patient, and don't rush them. Don't know your palette, but if you have like 25 colors you're going to do this forever
Ostroponis: thanks man!
Cad Yellow Deep chart:
i may sound too novice(wich i am)
but i didn't found the colors name
CYD = cadmium yellow deep (dark?)
i watched the tube of colors i have, i only found some (alizarine crimson , raw umber, yellow ocre ...) i don't have all the names
bs ? cyp ? do you mind writing .... the long name ?
thanks
In between colorcharts, a head study from mind..not really happy with it..
Hi Frank, I really LOVE that pen and ink piece on the previous page!
Also, on the last post, you could perhaps put a few dark accents in the nostrils/ears just to indicate holes. It's good as it is though
btw, zou
I don't want to intrude someone else's sketchbook, but since this isn't too long...
CYD is cadmium yellow deep, CYP is cadmium yellow pale, BS is burnt sienna
Wow. Everything is looking really good.
How did you learn about doing those color charts? From the Richard Schmid book?
xinranliu: thanks for the advice, you're right
Norkagar: Yes from the richard schmid book, but also from mindcandyman!
here's two more, the Azo Red chart, and Alizarin Crimson chart:
Do you study in mindcandyman's online program?
Norkagar: no i don't study in his programi was inspired by him and richard schmid. What kind of study do you do? (school) You're doing great!
Another one, the Raw Umber color chart, 4 more to go:

Thanks. I studied in Los Angeles for a year but I couldn't afford it anymore.. Now I'm back in NL and taking a short break but after that it's back to self-studying I suppose.
Keep going man. I should do those charts. Colour is just way over my head. What are your plans for the future? Just self-study too?

yeah self study it is for me, don't feel like going to an 'art school' here in holland, and do a lot of homework/assignments that i don't want to. At home i can study whatever I want.
NickyBeats: thanks for the nice comment!
zenichi: thanks! never did pastel, should try it sometime!
this one is an old unfinished work i had laying around, decided to finish it today, despite the heat here holland. but hey, hard work pays eventually...at least I hope![]()
whoa. sexiness!!! -her figure looks awesome! but i think something about her face, could be the weird shadow under her nose, kind of makes it look like she has a mustache, but other than that it looks fantastic!

Hi sweet peeps of CA!
this piece I created for the Frank Frazetta tribute show!(http://www.galleryprovocateur.org/frazetta.html)
In photoshop, I tried to resemble his famous pencil drawings...
Some very nice elements here man, and the caricatures are killer, but I would like to see you do some more studies of pictures, for hue and value. Apart from that I just wanna see more of these rocking babes of yours
