Lol didn't expect those nude pics especially not when my mom was behind me lol.
Anyway cool stuff you got in here. Some interesting thumbnails up above and good to see you really trying to nail your fundamentals. LEarning how to render the basics shapes and such. I think you're definately improving on that area. Last ones look really good. Love how you used the cast shadow and great value range. Awesome stuff.

very goods stuff. I especially liked the industrial design because values and light seem to be well rendered
    keep it up!

hey man ive been following your sketchbook for a while but never got around to posting much (not quite sure why )

anyways i love how confident you are getting with your digital work i would love to see you work hard with some more water colors and acrylics then take what you learn back to digital as apposed to the other way around

hope to see more soon. keep up the wonderfull work !

Hey great studies man! it's really good that your putting big values before the details. Speedpaintings are coming along quite nicely.

Hey Walid! Post new stuff! I wanna see how the ladies turned out. I've been struggling with values too so I think I'm going to take some advice people posted here and do cast studies as well. Great to see you exploring different mediums too! One piece of advice I can give with regards to water color is to be very patient with them. Only do one layer at a time when you're first starting out and go from light to dark waiting for each layer to dry first. I took a watercolor course one summer but I haven't been keeping up with my practice of it

Nice updates here. I really like how you're really stressing form in your studies with simple cubes - it's a very important exercise that's not as easy as it seems, and is also very beneficial for rendering the more 'serious' pieces. Good job, keep it going!

Hey, i'm finally back, after months of inactivity on ca !!! A lot of things changed since my last post : new city, new friends, and an art school, called the emile cohl art school , which is just awesome, with guys who are also into concept art and illustration !! Well, i wanna take a new way for my sketchbook . Like i'm trying to develop my creativity, which is for sure my weakest point, i'll only post my sketches and illustration, but i'll keep studying the foundations ( well, i still might show some good studies ^^ ) Anyway, i'm glad to be back, and i hope to get good critics and to improve as fast as i can ^^ !So for these 3 sketches, i took a bit less than 1 hour for each one ! I'll try to update as much as i can, but there might be some dead periods due to intensive class ^^

Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy my art ^^

I demand for the name of that playboy model !!!

and I like what you're doing and such and you should keep going with what you're doing however (oh here is the harsh crit that you would like to see) i find that some of your digital paintings aren't very solid looking and you should try and use 100 opacity with it set to pen pressure or something.

I would also say do more facial structure stuff. More Loomis sort of head studies.

Alright then! Hope that helps a bit
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

lolbbq : yeah bro, she's the most beautiful woman for sure, but i also studied a pic from jessica alba where she's really fine too ^^

Well, stuff from today, didn't do much, i've seen my family a last time before coming back to lyon !

My color study is pretty shitty, the likeness and colors are pretty wrong, and like ricardo robles said, i'm using too lighter values ! so next time i'll go darker, and will use more saturated ( warmer ) tones !!!

Anyway, wanna wish a happy new year to all the conceptart.org team, who's making a great thing, and i hope for them that 2011 will be a great year for the community, and a great year for gaining more skills for all the hard workers here who wanna work in the industry ! Good luck everyone !

Walid le retour ! le dernier portrait me botte, je trouve le trait fluide, il va bien avec le modele, je dirais que le dessin est aussi "miam" que l'original.

some digital paintings i did today ! a quick value study, about half an hour, and a still life, done, in 1 hour ! Crits are welcome ! I still have some difficulties with values ! i can hardly feel the light on what i'm painting ! for me it just looks like values i puted here and there, but it's not harmonious, but maybe i'm thinking the issue isn't about values, but edges !
