hmmmm i would like to say your making good improvement! good job.

but your last value study with the girl portrait is - although good - lacks texture and is to smooth, try adding texture to your your painting studies. Makes everything look better ^_^

Makes me want to revisit blocking in all the body forms with shapes. You have a lot of good studies going on.

The watch has nice local colors but I wouldn't mind one area being sharpened/polished out so you have better area of focus. The yellow object under it reminds me of cheese...that and I'm hungry O_o

    B-Man : thanks man !

snootchy : thanks bro ! I had fun too !

dessinateurimpulsif : Merci ! Merci encore !

DStraX : Thanks for your support ! Yeah, if you made a livestream account, link me to your channel, i'll be glad to watch you painting !

My57 : Thanks, yeah, i agree with you, my painting really lacks of " life", but i think it's mainly because of values and edges

    Pigeonkill : Thanks dude !

JParrilla : Thanks man ! Yeah, i like values studies :p

Jaytea : I'm glad to be an " inspiration" for you ! I'm sure you'll soon be a big inspiration for me ! Thanks girl !

snootchy : They are coming !

    ImaGEEnation : Thanks bro !

SamC, Nrw, Jaytea : Thank you all for my support ! I loooooove yaaaaaaaaaa !

Well, for the ones who thought i'm dead,.... no, i'm not
For the ones who thought i've been lazy,........ yeah, i've been !
For the ones who think i'm sexy .... yes i am !

Sorry for not uploading for a while, i"ve been lazy + i moved to Belgium to see some family and friends ! Anyway, here are some stuff i did since last time i posted ! I'm too lazy to update everything, so i'm gonna update the rest tomorow !

I did Some bargue studies, Vilppu studies, and some bodies and faces Adrian Wilkins ( previously Hygami ) gave me to do yeah, now he's kinda my mentor :p

Sorry for the quality, i was too lazy to scan my stuff with my old scanner, so i took pics with my phone

Excellent studies. The bargues are amazing. Reminds me of MindCandyMan's thread in that way. I'll take an afternoon soon and catch up on your entire thread.

Walid man you are getting better - nice rendering on those casts (?). Clean neat lines on the figures. I would suggest varying or omitting some lines a bit more when you do contours.. In some of the faces, for example, the lips are outlined with a uniform 'dead line' and it could have a much better effect if you varied the line on the top edge.

Hey Walid, great studies! I think the plaster cast idea sounds great. I don't know where you would buy something like that (maybe ebay?), but perhaps you should consider making some plaster casts yourself. I think that sounds like a fun project in itself, though it might take some practice to produce a cast at the level of quality that you would like to draw from. (Though ofc even a less perfect cast could be just as educational to draw from. It just might not be as beautiful as some of the examples you can find online.)

hey walid, what paper are you doing the watercolor on?
    some tips:

-if you can't afford watercolor paper, "Pastel" paper works just as well and is cheaper (at least here anyway).
-did you stretch the paper? it looks warped in the picture, if you do'nt know what stretching is, take your paper, put it in a plastic bag in a sink and run the faucet to fill the bag and let it sit for 30 min (or if you're in a rush you can hold the paper and run it under water till it's soaked), then get something sturdy, (a watercolor board or really thick cardboard) and staple one side down, then "push" the paper in the opposite direction and staple that side down. do the same for the other sides. this helps the paper to not warp.

i'll talk to you more on msn about watercolors if you want.
and i'm glad you bought some oils--it's time to get down and dirty seriously with your art man if you want to go to that school.

its nice to see such an amount of studies. i like that. but the results will be even better, if you concentrate on one thing-facial features, legs, gestures, hips, the skull form, whatever......just try it. for a few days or whatever. keep rockin!
