Hey CA, hey friends....
It's been over a year since I posted my last thread in this section. So much stuff has happened since then, that I'm still amazed at how many experiences fit into just 365 days.
On the 16th of June our son Adrian was born, healthy, louder than his dad and a true character. For the past three months my wife and I have been watching him grow, poop, burp, laugh, cry, figure out how to put his fist into his mouth and many more things. So many things have changed since then, I crash before 11 pm from sheer exhaustion and wake up around 6 am, because Adrian want's to be carried around and entertained. Also this year, I decided to finally open up the SIXMOREVODKA Studio in Berlin. This has been a long plan of mine that is finally coming to fruition. I always felt the life of an artist or illustrator to be very lonesome, so the Studio is supposed to become an anchor for my social life and a headquater for future operations. Check the end of the post for some Photos.
Marvel still keeps me busy and I enjoy the working relationship more than ever. I found great friends along the editors and management and the work has brought me to a ton of strange places over the past year.
Since the New Zealand Workshop is approaching and I will be teaching there, I just want to use this thread to give you guys an idea of what to expect and to hopefully sign up if you have a chance.
But now, off to the art.

GODSIZE THOR ANNUAL
While I was working on THOR, Marvel approached me with an idea for a Variant cover for one of their issues. The asked me to take the pencils of the regular penciller Oliver Coipel and paint it into a cover. They said I'd have free reign with the image, so I did what I could, played around and painted it up. This was a ton of fun and Olivier and I ended up becoming good friends during the process.
My Final:
Olivier's pencils:
This cover was a collaboration between me and the Inker Danny Miki. It was the first time I had my pencils inked by somebody else. When I got the finished inks back from him, I colored the piece digitally in PS.
THOR #7
THOR #8
I was fortunate enough to work on two issues of THOR for Marvel this year. This was the first time I had to complete an entire comicbook, something I failed doing while I was younger. This was a really outstanding experience, since the deadline was a turbocrunch and I had to work on something that I had never done before. The challenge was great and I completed the interiors for both books in 10 days each.

MAGNETO
This was one of the rare occasions where I was able to tackle some different non-superhero stuff. The Magneto mini-series basically tells the origin story of Magneto during the time of the Nazis. This was a great job that I enjoyed from start to finish.

DAREDEVIL
Still doing my duties on this series. I like the book and the character a lot, loads of moody stuff or graphic narration that one can use for the covers.
