    First of all, sorry for my bad english, it isn´t that great but I hope you´re goin to understand me anyway.
    Well I´ve been paintin since some days only in b/w because I guess that I need to understand tonal values before usin colours.
    I would be very glad about some advice what I´m generally doin wrong in my pictures because anyhow I´ve got stuck at this level.

    I will give you the same advice that was given to me in regards to b/w painting.

    Think of pure white as a value of 10 and and pure black as a value of 0. When painting work in ranges of 3-7 when starting and only use absolute black and white when you need it. i.e Specular lights and glares.

    Interesting stuff, very intense. I guess when you're painting greyscale its all about subtleties.

    I think you need more highlights in the hair (in your first painting) and his proportions need a bit of work. Lovely rendering of the face, though
