It's 12 inches as I recall....there are various companies using digital tech in the statue world...as the tools become more user friendly and the prototyping costs come down, there will be a lot more I believe...or at least hope there will be 'cause I like doin' them

Am I getting this right - this is "just" a printout of your work?
I guess the real fun starts when you can paint your prototype before printout ;-)
(Very nice sculpt - love the colours).

The painted proof is a cast of the prototyped print.
I didn't paint it.....for me the fun is in the sculpting...if I tried to paint it, I think it would wind up looking like Mr. Bill.

For those who don't know...this is Mr. Bill....

You nailed marvels prince of darkness, this is a stunning piece. What material did you use to sculpt this piece, epoxy sculpt, sculpy? I would realy like to know. the zbrush work is very good as well. Look forward to seeing more in the future.

(sorry did not read the whole forum. they have machines that can actually cast your digital sculpts?! I mean I have heard of them doing this, but how does the process work, it has to be pretty complicated. I would be interested in knowing how its accomplished. How do they make a mold from a virtual sculpt? It boggles the mind.)

Big John was completely the man. He's always been one of my
absolute idols and, in addition to a lot of his other work, I've got
the complete collection of John's run on Conan (all the original
books). I've been picking up the collected trades (since, due to
the paper, the art in the originals are fading so bad) but, I gotta
say, I was pretty dismayed to find out that they've edited the
original stories and cut out misc. panels throughout the stories.

Anyway, great job again Joseph and I look forward to seeing more
    of your work.

I appreciate the compliment but I gotta long way to go to match the work that you, the other fellas, and especially Randy have done.
I'm just happy to have finally been invited to the party!
