    I definitely see a notable improvement here, and I have nothing worthwhile to say other than keep going.

    Maybe working wet into wet isn't the best way for you. Sometimes letting it dry and then applying the washes is better. You need to post more.

    So, I'm back.
    What happened?....WELL, alot. But I'm still drawing, what I didn't do is checking on ConceptArt (albeit I still left the tab open for like...2-3 months? *laugh*)

    Anyway, I'm back. Again =)

    It seems to be so. I'm fighting with my own impatience with watercolor. It's good.

    Anyway, the aforementioned update is now finished;

    WHEW.

    First of all, dammit, I just saw the side reference pictures and I made a horrible mistake on the claw. >_< I'll add that into the long list of 'what-should-be-improved' and repent. (I draw horrible legs.)

    For the good side; I personally ♥ the lighting, and glad that I've able to draw a proper kimono...somewhat. The claws, too; if I drew it right.

    As per what needs to be improved; I still feel a certain..flatness. As in, the foreground should be...more..I don't know how to say it, but; more...apparent? the sharpness and blurness and everything related...

    Still, I'm happy. Another step taken.

    Some training pics.....of negative space. Negative space and layering, using watercolor pencils (and some watercolor here and there)

    And some sort of therapeutic too, given the circumstances.
    I cannot say much about the color; it's not a paper meant for watercolor, so I would believe they won't put up a lot of layering and pigments....but at least I mastered a bit about THIS paper. Maybe I'll try again with another type of paper... with another shape (flowers? clouds? stars?)

    Cool work my friend! Like the Japanese lady. Keep up with the studies and your work will jump to the next level!

    Thank you! =)

    Another two pics;

    A watercolor fanart of Storm. My first time drawing African characters, I think I got the tone very very wrong... :| And it's still not delicate enough.

    A 24-hour challenge (was supposed to be 1 day), fanart of Mahou Sensei Negima's Library Exploration Group.
    Tried to be more animesque (a.k.a looking behind) with the rightest one / Haruna's face, but it looks..weird. And apparently it showed. Well, with this kind of shading, I guess it became very very ugly...or maybe it's merely anatomical mistake. :| I'm kinda happy with the rest however.

    I apologize for the abundance of fanart. *bows*

    Last picture is fun, but poor Storm. I haven't used water colours for 30 years, but I do remember that you need to plan the lighter sections from the start. Even darker skin has a lot of pale areas, so don't go slopping the colour on too early. Patience.

    ..So another year passed.

    Hello again, guys. It's a pleasure to see you again. I hope you're doing well?

    I apologize for the disappearance; it's a bit of RL problems, but.... at the same time, lack of attention span. I drew mostly finished things now.....my studies are desperately lacking.

    I -do- have a DA and Tumblr now.
    Maybe as a start, I'll move some of them here.

    This is my entry for Character of the Week.

    What can I say, it's....
    ....a fun thing to draw.

    Am sure it's not the maximum, though.

    The ambassador of the forest was invited-- present.
    For the nature needed no masks to hide itself,
    as a tree offers no cover other than its own.
    Always present.

    Nevertheless, they bow and adhere to the rule.
    For as the water demands obedience to its movement,
    and the wind flies according to no one but its whim;
    a kingdom had its own rules.

    Under a particular form for this joyous occasion
    With gifts of the earth wrapped around;
    feeling each and every life,
    bathed in joy;

    Nature is watching.
