throw in some other colors, you're using greyscale+color layers too obviously, even extra color layers with slightly odd different colors will add interest. Your frazetta study looked better than your originals because of this I think.

Too much dodge on the face of your last edit of the girl, rest looks pretty good though.

I painted straight into photoshop with little thought as to what it was or where I was going with it, it's just kind of ended up this way .. I've not really finished it but this is an animated gif of the various incremental stages so far.
