Peter- Yuh, that one is a billboard golem!

First a collab with Thomas, and the rest are more concepts, and some sketches from my red book.

Peter- Dude your ass will be part of it again at some point. The Four Horseman(we still need to potty train Kit) will rise again!

It's been a minute since I posted! I just finished summer semester...good lord. I was so stressed out I had to take a break from art for a minute. It gave me some time to think more on my little fantasy project, and I got some more sketches for that. Also some new pages from my little red pocket book.

Digging the updates, especially of that insect/crustacean-looking creature. Your lines are also nice and loose/flowing. I have a hard time with that. XD

Liking the use of neutral tones for that face in the last image as well. Keep 'em coming!

The first sketchbook page on post #155 is great! the colors are eye pleasing.
It looks like the new project is coming along, a lot of fresh ideas.
Putting some of the creatures in environments would be a great exercise, especially since the creatures are landscapes for other creatures. so, the landscapes would be studies of other creatures(thats what i got from your explanation, let me know if I'm off base).

It would be great to join team ticklebear! I start school in a little over a week, so i won't be able to dedicate much time after that. But if you two are up for two extra character portraits count me in.

Oh, love the little watercolor guy in post #154

Love your quick sketching! Which is what a 'sketchbook' is for! I wonder though what your overall goal is for your art career? Are you looking into doing concept art?

    Phew, it's been awhile!

    Jailhouse-thanks!
    coreanseoul-try scribbling a lot!
    davewclayton-thanks
peter-you're right about the environments. I need to start making some finished pieces as well! I've gotten lazy as HELLLL!!!!!! AAAAAUUUGGGGHGHHHH!!H!H!!!!
Rist- I've thought about concept art possibilities, or looking into Illustrations, and I'm sure I'm going to try my hand at both. As of right now though I've been working on a business plan and have been saving up so I can start an fine arts studio/gallery, with the possibility of making it a small scale art supply store. My hometown has ONLY a Micheals, yet Macon has some what a small solid art scene. I also have ideas for Installations. Actually if/when I become successful enough to do as I please, there are several things I plan on constructing.

In time. For now, here are the last few pages of one of my sketchbooks. I havn't finished one in awhile, and there's two or three more which are nearing their ends as well.

Just started school again. The first few of these are for my first assignment. "Make a loose landscape with chalk pastels." I have 5 days to do this one loose landscape, so I decided to make as many as possible. I still have tonight, I might do another.

First is another chalk pastel piece for my art class. It's a really lame class, but I get a chance to do art and it's going to count on my GPA. That's fun.

Matsign- Thanks. It is chalk pastel, mostly the cheaper stuff but I do have some prismacolor pastels and some other good quality stuff in there.

Here's some of my recent stuff. Some abstract type drawings, good stress reliever/time killer, a character, and a few face studies.

Whoa, an update! It's been a while since this thread popped up in my inbox. I like King Henry a lot, and your cloud is pretty awesome. As always, the detail in your abstract pieces blows me away. I want to see more illustrative stuff!
Got a couple minutes? Help me improve!

    Some more small concept sketches.

    Hey Kenneth,
Shit! its been too long since i last posted in here.
Your colorful landscape in post #172 is great! Its exploding with color, thanks to that psychedelic color palette, haha.
Lovin the sketchbook doodles as always. Especially this last one, it has great movement and character.
