really cool stuff keep it up Dilated
Its been awhile since I've posted, I've just finished the first semester of my uni course and so far its been great fun, here are a few things that I have done.
The Barbarian stickers are supposed to be influenced by Frank Frazetta, was done for a main project of one unit.
The other characters and weapons were done for a game design unit.
The Mario Animation was my first go at hand animated something, was good fun.
The Sci Building was for one unit which you had to reinterpret your chosen space (mine was a boardwalk)
(Mario animation doesn't want to upload properly so i deleted it)
Now back to working my ass off on holidays.

Wow, niceimprovment! i especially like the zombie character ! really well done, good job
Time to start posting again, work hard, play hard. Current focus is getting my imagination skills up.
Time to stop being a pussy and work towards something.
FUCK YEAH!
Just some late night paintings,
the ball dude is sort of inspired by Mr.delicious' meat boy.
Long time no post.
I've been hiding for a while and trying to improve, its second year in my illustration degree and I think I need to take everything to the next step. Possibly posting ever week to force myself to make finished work. enough of my thoughts.
First image is a mock up sci fi comic book cover for uni
Second is a illustration for uni portraying suspense
Third is an editorial illustration representing a sci fi article
Fourth is a life study
Fifth is a Phil Hale study
Sixthis a bad picture of my oil painting, realllllllllly bad at mixing co lours from life, something I need to work on.
And last is a bunch of sketches from my travel sketchbook
Lets get dreaming

Sp and practice after.
Mediocrity can go die a horrible death, time to get INTENSE and start posting everything again, and not being lazy and finally take things to finish
Didn't bump -__-
hey dude, good improvments ! I think you should try to not think about what is this value, and what is this one, but more about the general lights and shadow . For know, you shouldn't try toreproduce the exact same value, or it'd suck, but just think about getting good volumes with values, even if the contrast is a bit exagerrated, think about how the light is coming from, about the main shadows areas, you should squint, to see simplified values, or you could get easily lost in the amount of details ! It's the same for the features you're painting, it's like you painted them without relationships with the whole face, they seems unattached from the head ! try to understand the volume around the eyes to better paint it, and you should always understand something before painting it,because for someone who truly understand these stuff, he'll directly see if you understood or not ! So keep working and keep posting, i'm glad to see some stuff from you !
Walid Thanks a lot man, you are definitely right, I dont understand value, there's sooo much to learn but I'm keen as hell.
Essentially I have come to the realization I have been focusing on to many areas and leaving everything else to be... shit is probably the most appropriate word.
Mooooooooooooooooooore
Studys
Sketches for development of my comic project
The second last bad boy is an illustration for a punk themed article for uni, I'm thinking of going for the half rendered and half graphic look because I have to make 10 of them in 3 weeks.
Last is a study of a plasticine head made for my comic project (thanks James Gurney)

adda boy. good to hear you came out of hiding with a second wind, weve all been there. where do you study at? keep on grinding away at those sketchbook pages.
bpic Hey man thanks for comment, things like that are motivational, I'm studying Illustration at Curtin University Western Australia.
So a bunch of stuff from one of WIPS from my uni project, a car from observation and a drapery study from tutorial
Starting to finally understand how to really LEARN, lots of things got put into perspective this week.
Theres more stuff that I've been practicing like enviro's and industrial stuff but they are so behind compared to my other stuff but I'm working on it.
Also my comic is brewing, inking and colouring left to do.

a la bapsi Cheers! will do
More crimson daggers stuff and a Illustration which was originally a character concept ( probably can see from the awkward position ha) wanted to push and see what I could do without any ref at all, so its more of a technical exercise than a good composition etc etc.

Bunch of Crimson daggers stuff I've been working on. I've been trying to paint and study things which I cant recreate from mind.

henri Thanks dude I will
New alien head which I learnt a lot from and was fun
and a bunch of concepts for a project at uni, so much to learn.
more Crimson dagger stuff to come
I noticed that in almost all of your paintings the lighting is very diffuse.
Considering thats probably the hardest light to master you should try to paint some sceneries with more defined light sources. This way you can control your values more easily.
Keep it up![]()
Xelar Yeah good idea man thanks.
More thumbs for an upcoming uni project, damn these are fun.
Edit: forgot crimson dagger stuff.
