    Meow Taxi

This was a doodle that i thought would be good to do some practice with rendering a bit more. I don't really know what it is... a hover taxi that pollutes i dunno but i enjoyed it

Please feel free to give any crits or opinions.Thanks.

    I like it.

I Think I might actually like the original sketch a bit more, since it has a strange cobbled together liveliness to it, and captures the goofiness of the concept, but the finished render is very nice looking.

I agree with Benjamin, i love the final render but the first fits more with the idea of a funky taxi.

I agree, the sketch is just cooler. Has that whole Jamie Hewlett look to it. Could use a driver, maybe another Miyazaki cameo? Miyazaki himself, even?

Nice tribute, though. The Totoro mirror plush is just awesome.

I also agree, it gives a more dirtier feeling to it. It would totaly fit in a walt disney movie like 101 dalmatiers and such, the older picture movies.

Personally I totally dig the render, I think if you were to change the colors and maybe add a checker pattern youd pull of the taxi look much more.

Screw these guys, I like it If anything, I'd say splash some muck on it, especially the windshield. Why muck would splash up on something that hovers is beyond me, but I think it would look good.

The render is the best, but without being painted green, it gives off a feel of Pimp funky instead of Groove funky. I had a laugh at the FlCl sticker and the Triforce.

What I like about these is that they are such totally different takes on the same subject. The sketch almost looks like a blind contour type drawing to me, and the rendered one is so nice and clean with its lines and such. Even the colours are almost completely opposite. Great stuff!

Thank you to everyone. There are some really good suggestions. I appreciate them all.

ScaryPotato - Thanks for noticing my intentions with the sketch and the render.

    Tombo - thanks

Tri_beer_gut - Heh I am glad you chuckled a bit. You are right that it looks a little pimptastic at first glance.

andyhunt - You are right it does need more muck and dirt.

ethan karnopp - Yeah a checker pattern sounds pretty good. I wasn't sure when i was doing it, but i think it is worth a try.

joukejan - Thank you. I like that movie a lot i should go and watch it again. Yeah more dirt.

sourgasm - A driver would be sweet! and Miyazaki himself that would be really funny! Thank you

    psychoboy - thanks

spookybabydoll - Doing the sketches is my favorite part, even though it is all pretty fun to me.

    Benjamin-the-Fox - thank you

Again thank you to everyone. When i do some of the suggestions i will post it here again.

For me what's ruining the potential on the render is the gray background, it just eats the colors, a light blue would work quite well I believe. I totally dig that windshield.
