    Wink Elle's ScrawlsAndSketches

Hey~! I'm Elle. This is my first sketchbook here on CA and i hope to keep it going as long as i can so that any improvement i make can be visible later on!
Right now I'm 17, I'm in my second last year of school until I head for college, and i have SOOO much to learn.
It's pretty daunting to be surrounded by so much skill and talent in the prospect of being good enough to compare, but I'm really excited. This looks like a great site, I'll try my best not to sound like a n00b. ^-^

This thread will have a lot of my rough sketches as well as WIPs, photos, and finished work(hopefully). I love variety, so my styles will probably a bit all over the place. ALSO there may be some reference sketches for my practice, so don't freak out if something looks a bit familiar. XD

Just to start off, Here's two of my pictures i did at the end of last year.

    Sorry, these were uploaded on ImageShack. I don't know how to work the attachment manager thingy quite yet. ^-^;

    Hey Elle.

Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing fantastic.

Funnily enough I know someone who's a freakishly good artist who is also called Elle... but different style to yours. Strange world.

And I thought the human face was a part of the creature design but... now I see she's in a tube of some sort... her spine must feel like shit =\

Damascus57- Thank you! Insanely is an exaggeration, though.I have a long way to go. ^-^ haha~ I wouldn't worry about their spine, I'd put money on it that neither of them are human. XD
Ranunkel- Thanks, I love drawing with detail like that, but it takes so long. I hope you like rough sketches too! ^^
    Ladyknowles- Thanks! I appreciate it.

    Unhappy Practice and WIP(please help)

I have trouble drawing people when their facing right that i don't have facing left. It's weird, but i think it has to do with all my drawings tending to lean to the left. maybe its the way i hold my head when i draw..
Anyway, here's me trying to work on it, and there's a couple of reff and imagination sketches in there.

And here is something I'm having a bit of trouble with- This is a wip of a practice painting, just the rough. I'm trying to have a go at drawing a warrior, but obviously I'm no anatomy expert.. anybody have any tips?

I still cant get the Attachments uploader to work! it won't even upload my images now. what should i do?

Wow, some beautiful artwork; I especially love the doll-like girl on the first post. Keep up the good work.

Hey for your warrior's pose, have him drop that forearm on the left just a little bit. it will create some interesting positive and negative relationships and your silhouette will be more readable. Also work on your hands. NIce SB you have here, keep posting.
