    Day 4

    One a day character design

Thought, I do a monster looking character. So, next would be another totally different character to the other four.
Yeps, was watching 'Seinfeld' while doing this. Oh, I also just bought season 2 of 'Curb your enthusiasm', definitely worth watching. Freaking hilarious!

Camske- Thanks, buddy! yeah, was hoping to learn a lot from the web workshop, so I could help a bit with our site, but seriously the teacher didn't help out that much! Keep drawing, dude!

Anyway, not much here, been hanging out with my girl for a whole weekend and didn't draw much except for her portrait while she's watching TV. And my process from a thumbnail to a layout of something I'm working on. Feeling rusty from that web workshop, gotta get back to the drawing book!

    CHOW #165

    CHOBE the popcorn head boy

Is there a big difference between laptop and personal home computer's screen resolution? I use a laptop and seems like everytime I upload art on the net they looked really desaturated. I had to duplicate this layer and made it really saturated to make it even! Aaargh!

Hi, great pencil work. Just love this. Also your Prawn bike stole my attention, good job on that and with the billboard too. Looks incredibly effective. Keep up with those figures, they're coming on nicely. Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. Looking forward to more.

Still work in progress. Any C & C is appreciated.

the saturation is colour profile settings. nothing to do with resolution. should be able to find more info about it on google. ideally you want to be sure your color profiles are the same on both your desktop and laptop to coordinate the two. The contrast ratio of monitors can vary also. I know you have macs so use the monitro calibaration tool to try and get it right. If you wanna get it prefect you gotta get one of those devices likea huey but doing it by eye is usually fine. I like to test it by getting a well prodcued photo usually of a person and use that as the becnhamrk. Uually any inconsistencs will jump out on skintones which is a good test.

oh yeah i gotta do some enviros. characters are too fun sometimes.

I like the rendering in post 69.

More sketches from my new moleskine yeppersz, I bought 2 so, I decided to use one for studies and one for whatever drawings hihihihi!

One speedpaint while waiting for my wifey... I kinda broke the rule, wasn't supposed to do any digital 'til next week! I feel like I should spend a few weeks just focusing on my digital works.

I want to be a great artist, so if you guys have any critics please let me know!

    Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Dude first i would liek to thank you for the Comment on my SB , And i secondly I think you are a very talented artist. You seem to have a great grasp on everything atm, your line work is fanatastic and you colour is great. The sketches are sweet with the anatomy and figures. You character designes seem very polished and varied and your environments give a great sense of atmosphere, For the environments i would love to see a darker, less colourful kind of scene, somehting out of a horror film king of thing. Your persepective is greate too. All i can say is keep it up your progress is fantastic.
Keep it up man Its cool to see how you have progressed from first starting here, i am very much planning to follow in your footsteps of progress lol
    Thanks OA

Oscar- heh, thanks buddy. just trying my best is all. i still got a hell of a lot more to learn and this site is really a good place to get motivations and there are a lot of great artists I look up to and get inspirations from. Keep drawing dude, I'll be checking up on you.

Anyway, work in progress for school. Only have to do 2 pages for a children's story book. But, I'll try my best to do the whole 32 pages. Figured this would be a really good challenge. Meh, if I don't get to do the whole thing, then at least I tried right? more wips coming soon...
