First Finished Digital Painting - Flying Robot

I've done a lot of practice digital painting before, but this picture in particular is one that I really would like some feedback on. Please let me know what you think.

Honest opinion good , but its too conceptional , and not organic enough. It is circular logic, and almost boring. Yet the mystery behind it , the concept makes it mildly interesting. The fact that he is in motion and that he is yet to discover what we can not see is a nice touch, and I like it . But there are no spectators, and the fantasy level is low, space is too plain and not grand enough, not exciting enough. I would enlarge space, put a few planets in there but that is just me. Dynamic lighting too. I would add more space.

It looks good but the close up view, and composition just makes it appear to be sort of bland in my opinion.

Its good though. I like the colors, I can not comment on it directly because in the reply box I can not see it. Looks good but as I said blah....

    Keep at it .

Just an opinion , on all of that , I am not a expert or anything I admit but I need to comment on more art work as I did in college.

Coupla things that confused me a little.

The pink stuff starts and ends pretty conveniently around the figure, making that a little bit of a tough sell. The stars just - stop. they exist on the left side, and then just stop happening, which feels a bit odd.

Where is the primary source of illumination? If it's a general ambience, would the jet packs give a harder, more intense reflection?
