Sometimes you have days where you think you are going to have all evening to draw, but out of nowhere all kinds of small chores and requests start popping up and you end up with no time at all.

2 of those days in a row now. At least I got some drawing done today at least.

Since I was on vacation last week I couldnt post. And I also drew very little during that week. I'd love to say I just didn't have the time, but I think mostly I just used it as an excuse to take a break. Next week we're going for a second week of vacation, I'll try to be better then.

Those hand and arm studies are pretty decent.

Watch out for how you connect the neck to the torso, because it looks like you're having trouble with it with a bunch of your figures.

@Psychotime: Thanks for the crit. Yeah, I have issues with the neck, especially when the head/neck is obscured by the arm or some other body part. I have issues visualizing how it's supposed to be.

I wasn't feeling it today. I did some in pencils and some here in digital, but ... sigh. Some days...

    hi dude
congrats on your last batchs of studies. keep doing them they'll make your skill grows up.

    if u want some advices:
-vary yoor references you draw from, your muscles seems inflated (not very natural)
-your head-body connection seems sometimes not very natural.

    some posemaniac could help

good luck and keep your good work

Hey, nice book Kweckduck. Your sketches are nice, they look super clean. One thing I'll say is to just be aware of the width of things more. You may be unintentionally making things look too fat/stubby. Other than that, keep up the good work!

Really nice work. I like your studies. Only thing I could think to suggest is to be more mindful of head sizes. Seems like (and I have this same tendency) you sometimes make heads a little too small (but not in every case).

Keep working! You definitely have some skill.

The only way to fix that is to have your anatomy down. Really all you need to do is discern the direction of the spine when it connects to the cervical vertebrae.

Honestly, for the ones with that issue, you appear to treat head and neck as secondary to the rest of the body (as in you draw the body and complete it first, THEN start on the head and neck). It doesn't seem like something that should give you trouble, given how the rest of the drawing turns out.

Oh my, look at all the people here.

Thanks everyone for the comments and crits. They are much appreciated and all are spot on.
@Psychotime: Man, you hit the nail on the head, you don't even realize. Yeah, I start my construction with the "spine", then build the torso, legs, arms and head last. I used to start from the head, but since I read somewhere that one should start with the most important part of the body, namely the torso, I start this way nowadays. The head connection wasn't so much an issue when I started from the head, but now it is. These are all anatomical studies (currently working through Bridgeman) so I am trying to work on it, but whenever I read the part on the head the problem disappears, because I start with the head. I'll really have focus on this issue at some point. Well just pay the issue more attention in every drawing.

@jNeumann: Yeah the fat thighs for example... sometimes it's just a matter of a millimeter it feels like. Or the stomach area... agh...

    Anywhoo, today's work:

(Sorry for the size, started this at work and made a different size file compared to normally)

I'll need to find a way to speed things up too. My output is just rediculously low. My only comfort is that I think I'm learning.

Have to finish a bit earlier today since I still need to pack for our second week of vacation.
Hopefully I'll be better at drawing during this vacation than last week.
