great stuff, I especially like the giant and the girl he looks very intimidating and the whole angle simple works, what bothers me that you can't see the giants face, it would be even more terrifying if you could at least see his eyes.

I still see issues with these when I haven't looked at them in a while. That's an error of drawing, not just understanding. I need to figure out where I'm fucking up so much. I can't seem to align things!

Really great sketch book. Your heads are getting better. I think that on the last one maybe the eyes are a little too big. Otherwise I really like your work. I'm surprised I haven't seen your sketchbook before.

Plissken- thanks man. Been working much, also been writing a story. A story I must illustrate. Dark Fantasy/sci-fi based story about a civil war. I'm currently writing the history, so it's kind of droning on. \

Istmin- thanks yo. I appreciate you looking and I hope I get through this head thing quickly . It's a skill I want, but have never had.... so I'm gonna go get it.

Here's some thumbs from that story. The crowning of Emod'uh'Emof, first King of Bura-Gor. He was crowned after uniting four of Bura-Gor's five ruling tribes under one banner using the ore-Tshraka as a promise for a brighter future. Not an evil man, but misguided by the god Tshrak, who sought vengeance after his defeat in the heavens. He granted Emod the knowledge of the ore, knowing full well it would bring the people of Bura-Gor to the all-out civil war they're about to see.

I'm going to be doing this from start to (hopefully) finished in the critique center. I'll provide a link, but it seems I'm replying to this first, cus I'm an idiot.

Started a random dwarf character again. I need to change his other arm around... I'm not sure what he doing. I'll just have him holding a coin, or maybe a coin purse!

The last updates look good. I can't criticize you so easily anymore... (maybe if you draw a detailed big face but you are improving quickly even at that it seems) I need to get better myself

Plissken- yeah man. I really do lack the time to make it happen with two jobs and all...

...SO... AS OF TODAY... I PUT IN MY TWO WEEKS at one of them. The other has guaranteed me 40 hours. Let's see if it works.

I'm so fucking stoked for this. One job is going to be so much less of a pain in my ass.

And this guy. Unfortunately his hand got changed around as I was painting, so it's little behind.

The other hand has a pass or two, I don't like the way it looks either. Don't worry, I'll work on it's specifics more- I paint hands with a stranger workflow.

Hey all, thanks so much. I'll do the individual thing, since I have the whole fucking day off.

Misch- I moved to Blacksburg. I know no one, except for work acquaintances. I moved up here with my girlfriend, who is going to medical school. I loathe my existence here. It's so fucking lame. There's NOTHING else to do. So I draw. And draw and draw and draw. I am working two jobs on while I do this, but I am currently in the process of quitting one, so I'm going to be drawing a LOT more. Not working, but getting more skilled so that I'll look attractive to the art directors. Please stop by often.

I worked some on the dwarf guy and got bored. I've got the whole day off, so I am watching Hercules and the Legendary Journeys and drawing. I even did some comp studies of the show. All in all, it's been a really productive four hours of consciousness .

I'm gonna bake some cookies and keep drawing, haha.

I told that the last time to my uncle, right after I
have pushed him over the rail to from the cliff.
The bastard promised me money, but he went greedy.
His head splashed like a melon hitting the rock hard rocks.
He was wiggling a bit more after that, most probably suffering
in agonizing pain.
You are doing good my friend and I like to view your sketchbook
from time to time.

Here's the dealio. I've been watching A LOT of Hercules and drawing, but couldn't get round to if as of late. Here's some better, more show-able stuff. Ballpoint and a digital:

Been using this gesture tool. So these are actually all referenced. 30 second gestures and 5 minute constructions. And a face that went all wrong... I got nervous knowing it would be gone in 5 minutes and fell through.

Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags!

One minute gestures (try to get to be able to nail proportions the first time-round), and some character stuff for CHOW. Gesture practice is making character sketching like that easier already. After like two days. I recommend it.

Too much sketching on this thread page, not enough painting. The next one will have more painting!

Found some mechanical pencils, so I used them instead of my handy-dandy ballpoint. I think these will now be considered my "warm-up excercise". Never had one of those before, but these loosen me up and let me start drawing.

More drawing... I might update later. Not like I have anything else to do. Fucking Blacksburg...
