Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook. Hot damn, your enviros are stunning. I absolutely love them - I'd give my eyeteeth to do enviroments and landscapes like that!
I also particularly like the gal with the shorts and the googles, one of your earlier sketches...would love to see that worked up and/or colored.
Great start to your doodles sketchbook, keep on working!![]()

I Love your landscapes (especially that one .. damn!! thats fantastic. ..(http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...nviro_2-1.jpg)) and saved some of em to my "inspiration" folder.
Your colors are great and the values seem to fit there well too.
Like myself, I think you should work further on the construction and form of yours heads, your colors and values look solid there though. Just the construction looks off sometimes.
Keep on Drawing and have fun!
btw: Thanks for your comment on my Sketcbook.

Hi Noodle, Wow how could you ever say you suck?
There's already some good progress in this little sketchbook, portrait's are getting better and environments have improved greatly.
But you want crits so I'll do my best... I'll start with the last portrait, first off the eye's are a little to big but maybe you intended that? Also you may need to do a bit more hair studies, as the hair in the last one kinda looks like worms!
Apart from that your going good,
Drop by my sb if you find the time.
Matt.

The bottom sketch is nice! With the middle woman, the breasts seem a little high, though.

Took the previous sketch "a bit" further
Love your work very nice variety and progression, and i do agree your enviorments rock!
I drew a carrot for you. Yes just for you, use it wisely
That snow scene is awesome. You definitely have a knack for environments.

I guess your approach is a rather comic-like one, but I´d like to give you some tips, if you don´t mind?
Regarding the proportions you used when drawing the male head I can say that the eyes lie approximately in the middle of the whole head.
I wouldn´t either draw such a big distance between nose and lips.
It´s good that this last face wasn´t that round as the former ones, but therefore it seems like his jawbone has been completely dislocated..
I suggest you do some lifedrawing to achieve a better understanding for such things, also for drawing nose and eyes better.
It helps a lot!
Or else you could try studying some face from photos, but it might be even best if you get yourself an artist-anatomy book..
I like the skin tones you used though!![]()

But today is a gift - that´s why it´s called present.

Thanks for your input, i know my style is still a bit too comicy, although ive been doing my best to go for realism. I do however have a couple bridgemans books, but theyve been left a bit unused. Should do more anatomy studies..

Thanks for the comment on my sketch book
I like environments that you have done, as it is very clear to see were objects are in them.
In your latest pic, the girls right arm (the one that reaching for the "rabbit") looks shorter then her left
You should move the grass that's in front of the join between the lure and the tentacle. I didn't notice they were connected at first.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook.
Some of your figure drawings look a little flat to me, perhaps consider keeping a close eye on your structure to keep things solid. An easy way to add structure is to use some cross-contours here and there. Keep the planes in mind at all times and wrap the cross-contours around to show mass. Hope this helps!
me likes your noodles!!
i find its a good idea to start in b/w and add color later using the color mode in the layers..it helps keeping right values.
also might be worth taking in consideration the reflected light and radiosity..sometimes it seems you jump from light to dark a bit too sharpish..some more attention to those middle values will really make it pop!
great progress keep em coming!!![]()
