I would say that your progress is very fast ;]. About this flying chick. It's not about the skill but fully a composition issue. You should set a little different perspective, with vanishing point near lower section of the piece. Besides I bet you could even now fix this painting. Right now it looks a little to flat, there is a need to increase value range. Add some atmosphere to push this plane more to the back. Don't give up on this so easily . cheers.

Was really lazy today so all i made was some progress on my comicbook strips (but ain't got a scanner to scan them now) and this chow thingy.

Actually when i thought some more about the chow's recently they seem a bit boring and i just make 'em to make my self complete a drawing in some time frame....oh well.

Heeeey man, love the look of this. Thought i'd make a paintover, trying to make his pose a bit more natural. But if you are going with him looking a bit "crunched togheter" then ignore the changes. If their hard to spot, you can take it and put it over your own and then just compare them.

    Take care!

Keep posting!

Hhhh...vo pervih ya vobshe to pareny....
vo vtorih...the reason for my color work is so sucky is quite simple and you can see it if you"ll go back some pages in my SB.
For the past 5 years i was in the army and had little time to paint, whereas a sketchbook was always near me so i drew as much as i could but my painting skills hardly developed at all.
Only in the last few months i really got the time to paint every day so i'm currently trying to gain as much ground in painting as i can...that's all.

Some people already suggested me that coloring my sketches (similar to a comic coloring process) would fit me very well however i want to learnt to really paint and if at some point i will understand that i suck in it too much i"ll get back to coloring my own line works...yeap i always can do that.

Anyways enough with the excuses...back to work.
Today's 2 half sketches half studies, trying to get better with values...

You are updating so fast, that my user panel is having a hard time to catch you . I can some great stuff here. I like the perspective in your newest painting, you need to work on her arms, cuz she's having serious hands issues. Also I think that this mmm membrane (not sure how to call this) on her wings should be more pinkish, cuz it's thin material, so this strong light source should brighten here membrane.

Today's update trying to work on some fluid lines and figured out that although my crappy sketchbook paper is not pencil friendly it deals with ink very well so... ink pen it is.
Doodles for fun gestures and futile tries to make my works more clean.

watched some old Todd Mcfarlen video where he used that technique to make his figures more dynamic...just draw few lines and try to squeeze in there the human figure.

lil update on the penciled pages:

two studies one from live stream that i only now realize that didn't work and another 30-40 min study.

The girl reminds me of avril lavine

The barbarian dude - something seems a bit odd with the separation between lower pec and upper abs, seems like he's almost sucking it in. Just my look on it , not necessarily wrong, just a bit off in my opinion.

    Otherwise great work.
