add more color, maybe some texture. right now your piece is quite boring But the design is heading into the right direction. I'm not sure about the helmet. But I can't think anything better right now. If I have something that my help, I'll let you know. Cheers

Awesome thread, me likie! I second what Ramalooke and LtPlissken said about this last post. You definitely can start adding more details and texture onto the main character. I would also suggest you to tweak lighting in the scene a little bit, it looks a bit confusing (in opinion anyway ). Other than that, great stuff! Keep rocking those brush strokes!

That Chow is looking good but you gotta watch those edges. The character is falling into the background a lot. I think its because you have lots of tangents too. Like the sword and the guys in the back. And their swords and her legs. She doesnt pop much.

Im sure you'll be ironing that out anyways though

The ammount of details is amazing. But I think you overdid this one. There is so much details that it kind of flats the image, you also lose your focal point. I have no clue where to look and have difficulty to say what is what in your image. Keep posting, cheers

wonderful lines, i must agree with hat Ramalooke said the amount of detail hurts my eye a bit, maybe you should look into that, build the image from outside in letting the most details close to the focus point

Короче тут какое дело: бабенья и чуваки детализированы в разной мере. И получается, что детализация идет по краям, а тётка в центре. Правда я не очень шарю в этих комиксах (лол), может в инке будет более балансированно смотреться.

Ramalooke I tried to apply something new this time...to make the character the main subject of the pic by putting many details around her and very few on her..that's what they use to draw good manga, so i wanted to try this on my on style... apparently not so successfully.

I know about the value issue, it won't help me to make pencil value studies, i can do it almost with no trouble, i need to work on color values though how a hue changes from dark to light and etc.

Hhhh...no i'm not ashamed/afraid that i'm from Israel, i've got it written in my avatar, i just couldn't make the Magen David look right so decided to leave for now...

Here is a lil update on the pic from today's stream got too frustrated with it due to lack of "story" behind the pic....any suggestions mainly on the composition would be greatly appreciated...oh well back to the drawing board for me.

PS. I was really pissed at some "hack inker" gal on DA, who's acting like a mod in one of the groups. Talking to her was like talking to a wooden log, eventually it's ended with my posts flagged as spam (wtf???) and me quitting that group.
I just really hope that CA wont turn into one of these places...because i'm starting to see the sprouts of that crap here too.

keep practicing dude just keep practicing you are making good progress especially in the color devision, your values could use most of your attention though, especially in the last pic you did with the dog and girl ( I like the flag) it doesnt have a very strong composition and the values could use some work. I suggest you practice creating thumbs before you even start the initial sketch and values, thumbnails will get the rough idea in a whole so you can see if it makes sense at the beginning and then move on to the next step, try to think of a good background story for the characters you put in your artwork that will make it look more believable.
