oDesk?

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience using oDesk to get freelance work?

I'm probably more proficient doing graphic design than I am at fine art/illustration, but I'm wondering if its possible to get illustration work through oDesk as well as logo design and what-not.

I'm trying to figure out my options and try to push forward, even if maybe I'm jumping in blind.

I think these type of websites are great opportunities. I have used elance.com, and it has some varied job choices (from illustrated logos to whole graphic novels). You have to compete with others, but it does not necesarily mean that the one with the lowest price will win. Just search and put your proposal up! Maybe you'll get something!

You'll be competing with 60 people for extremely low payment, try it, it wont harm you, but unless you live in india it is not a good option right now.
