Thanks y'all! Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Getting back into the swing of things here at school for my last semester. Freelancing also keeps me pretty busy. But I should have fairly regular figure paintings for the rest of the semester.

These are some 20~ minute block-in sketch things.

Odayga: Thanks! Yeah, color is one of the aspects of art that I just keep enjoying more and more. It's definitely not as scary as people make it out to be.

I have only looked at the first page but, where did you learn your anatomy from? books or videos or classes? I'm learning bridgeman at the moment and I have drawn every single illustration for like 10 pages so far and when i drew one of the face and I was thinking about Abe Lincoln for some reason and it looked like him but without the hat and beard that i was so satisfied with it that i made one of it like a big 12 by 20 inch page or something like that xD anyways... love your sketchbook! ill keep an eye on it!

mp47ak5: Bridgman is great. As is Hale, Peck, and the other big names. It's important to take in as much as you can. And to not avoid it as much as me.

So it seems that I've been demoted to 4 stars. Guess I need to step up my game.

Andrew Sonea: Yeah, I was just experimenting with some weird colors there. As for landscapes: paint from life. Getting out there with some paints will teach you more than pretty much anything else. Reading good books and studying masters is great, too.

Damn bro, these figures are badass. Great color temperature in all of them, and the digital ones are looking great for the time limit. I have a feeling all of your concept work is going to take a huge benefit from these figure paintings!! Looking forward to more man!!

a la bapsi: That's actually not a bad idea. I'll try to find some time for more imagined figures... it'd be a good test to see if they're getting any better.

Jasper: Thanks! Yeah, I'm really hoping all of this figure drawing/painting is gonna help. Figures are definitely my weak point right now... gotta work on that.

Probably should make a thread for this piece, but until I think I'm ready for the FF section, I'll put it here. My first published D&D piece!
