I have been experimenting using inc to make a focus point on this drawing - turned out quite intresting
PROCESS:
I began with sketching with HB, then I went deeper with a 3B doing the dark parts and 2H for the light parts. As a finale touch, I used a fineliner to bring out a focus.
I drew this for 2 hours.
Do comment and crit on my method and do come with your opinions and suggestions ^^

Well today I posted my first DSG-Artwork
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=128856
I think it turned out pretty well, after 6hr in PhotoShop ^^
PROCESS:
Thanks for your critique on my Indy.... I'm gonna blow up the reference...and hope that helps...
Your pencil rendering is very nice...it would be nice to see some of those scanned, or shown in higher resolution.
I find whenever I use PS to draw/paint that drawing and erasing is much faster, I usually work too sloppy and have to slow myself down to get the kind of quality I want...
No problems mate and thank you for your commentYes, I'll try making my scanner work - Just have to find a component to be able to install it hehe ^^
Yeah, it takes alot of time making those details and I have to admitt: I got lucky this time with my pen-stokes ... which I usually don't get (hihi)![]()
I love your pencil renders, just beautiful work. And I really liked the way the pencil with ink touches turned out a lot.

Nice stuff. Love the portrait & the statue. Is the statue Nike?
Your pencils look great (as well as your digital color). I have used the pencil/ink combo for years and it works well.
Keep it up!
Travis
Thespianmonsalvo: Thanks
WooDz: Thank youyes, it is Nike - I didn't know the name by the time I drew her
Lewisaurus: Thanks! Yes, it sure does and I will keep it up ^^
Great breakdown in post #3, I like your pencils a lot too. My fav is the piece with the flowers in the glass - you should get a scanner though because right now your shots are very blurred. Looking forward to updates![]()

Never would have thought of using a fineliner to bring a focus out of the piece.
Keep posting, I'm loving your stuff. :]

wonderful pencilwork!and it seems you are an artist with a camera too, I like those impressive dynamic shots
of course, a nice scan could show more of the drawing itself.
I hope you will update soon![]()
N1va: Tanks!Haha to be honest, I didn't expect #3 to turn out that fine, I haven't painted many digital paintings before though
Yeah, I have a scanner ... just not working >.< it's really annoying atm!
Aifolx:Thank you!actually I didn't think of it either, I just happened to look at a fine liner as I was frustrated of my picture not having a focus-point
you really should try it, it's really interesting.
Lilnebo:Thank you for your commentnp, I'd like to see more from you too!
ShiNIN: Thanks! haha, I like photographing you seeyes, I'm working on it

Well, I happened to find an older digital painting, not as good as post #3, but still something![]()
Hey there!
I'm taking classes in Anatomy, mentored by Neondevil at his mentoring thread.
Here are som pictures of some studies which I believe is worth looking at![]()
nice, yummy studies... I'm very fond of pencil sketches created by skilled artists and my favourite subject is the human body... so I think and hope there will be food for me in this topic
(I need draw much more. I want to produce such drawings too one day... my level is horribly low at the moment)
I think the male body could use a more prominent knee... or two![]()
I really envy your pencil drawing skills, man.
Keep those sketches coming!
(And make that scanner work for God's sake!)
ShiNIN: Thanks! Haha don't worry, I'll try not to let you starve
acctually I don't really draw male bodies ^^ but thanks for the observation!
Keep it up you too!
Novbert: *Hoho*Thank youhaha, yeah ... still working on it - I might ask my mom to buy a new one >.<"
I really like your sketch work.
The male and female bodies have really helped me with MY sketches haha.
I've never made my bodies using those kind of sketch techniques, and now I'm glad I came across this.![]()
Zombie_Friend: haha thank you!I'm really glad and delighted to know that my works can help people out!
Here's a processing digital painting which I'm working on at the moment (Original size 3000 x 1000 px) - It's still not finnished
Do crit at http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=129354![]()
wow first off thanks for the anatomy tip iv heard it a lot but i guess it just means i should practice more
your figures are wonderfull and ur portrits are so beautifully renderd you bring a lot to the table as far as drawing and sketching goes 2 thumbs up
as far as your digital paintings go ehh they could use some work but as far as that goes i think you could be a master if a little mor practice went that way not to be too harsh, if i could get a few tips on how to draw anatomy so beautifully then mabe i could gaiv a few tps for digital and dont judge the crappy ones on my profile those are really bad. keep up the amazing work
ill be back for more soon
