I'm an idiot and I get excited about totally insignificant things. This is the first time I tried that whole "use an overlay to add colors after establishing values" thing" that Jason Chan used in his video.

Hi and this work is great, nice start!! Your Avatar is awesome too, that's what drove me to look. I want to add some very small crit about the front on face's your chin region is a little off, but, maybe it's a style thing? if so cool, if not the chin's are a bit off in symmetry and draws attention away from the perfection of the rest of the piece. Such nice work and I love the environment as well... So nice and cool!!! K

Medieve: They were all from photos on characterdesigns.com, and with the exception of the girl sitting, they were 3-4 minutes each. The girl sitting was somewhere around 10 minutes, I think.

forgeman: No problema. I use to always want to see progress shots from other artists. The CHOW threads have some really awesome progress shots from algenpfleger and some other amazing entrants. You should check it out.

Holy shnockers. I'm not use to having comments to reply to. XD You guys flatter me. I haven't done much this week since it's finals week and I'm graduating saturday (hooray for not having to pursue a non-art related career path any further).

The only thing I've had time to do is a slightly prolonged anatomy study. Will be adding in hands, feet, face details, etc etc etc. I want to make it at least a 4-5 hour study so I can get into the habit of detailing. I know, I know. Type less, draw more.

45 minutes so far, in Painter X. Practicing drawing things with stringer lighting than what I'm accustomed to.

Ah....you must crap AWESOME! seriously 45min. damn one of the things I am working on took me at least an hour and I am still blocking the dang thing in. could you please crit it for me.I have it posted in the critiquing area titled "rip it a new one please!".
I too am self taught, however I haven't had enough time of late to do as many practices as I ought to. I just had a bebe in march and apparently they take up a s*&t load of time, or so I have just noticed with the lack of skills in my art. so anyhoo, love your art.
