    Really liking these backgrounds.

That teapot looks good to. However the perspective/shape looks a bit distorted.

What I have been doing this morning. Needs a bit of tidying up in places and I will be animating the bottom half of them as well.

yeah no updates yet, ive got maybe 3-4 days of solid work to do on other (far less interesting) school subjects to do before i get stuck into some serious sketchbook updating

animations are looking really good. maybe to make them look a bit more dynamic you could add some opposite reaction, i.e. make their hips move in the opposite direction from the clap a bit more.

hmm that sounds completely unreadable. brain is foggy

    have a good easter!

No it isn't unreadable. They'll be clapping the other side as well. They're the backing singers and as such will be sort of behind the main characters, but I have considered moving their hips more and probably will, as their movement is pretty boring at the moment.

Their faces will be added later. Here's the first idea of them - they are based on real people.

Those backgrounds are really wicked! So cool!

The contrast of the characters and the background is really strong imo. Maybe even too strong. But maybe it´s just me... I´m not sure...

Diggin the wonky looking architecture drawings. By far the most intresting stuff in your SB.
Adding the people kinda ruins it thou.

mundanity, I don't rotoscope but I do use a poseable manikin from Antics (sadly no more) to work it out.

carlosranna & krel, you're right, I might have to make the backgrounds brighter to match the people. I am drawing them for my animation.

    Alex Thanks.

Did some more to the SP. The hand is not good as I'm leaning on my elbow and can't keep it in the same position for too long.

Cool animation. Though I agree with moving the hips more. In order to stay balanced they'd pretty much need to move their hips as much to the left as they move their hands to the right. Otherwise it looks like they might fall over.

Brightened the background - might work on it a bit more. Bit of hip movement, not sure that's right either.

And a quick Master Study - Titian this time - not going to do any more on it as it was just a quick time filler.

Additional bit of info on the animation. This is a pic of an earlier band the 2 guys on the right were in - husband is far right and lead singer next to him. They didn't get a record deal even with rave reviews from the NME. Trevor on the left is still in the business and played with Wham, George Michael and the Nolan Sisters, I like nattering to him.

Nice to see you never stop studying. Your animation project seems to be getting bigger and bigger, and I'm starting to see the picture. Really looking forward to it. Maybe check out some coreographies from youtube or somesuch to get a more natural flow to the dancing girls? Referencing in animation is important.

No drawing today. Been at the National Gallery with Freddy Scribbles. We mainly viewed Italian 16th Century paintings and had fun critiquing them. Even Titian got one for a bad anatomical leg. Shame you can't red line the errors, but with the artists dead, I don't suppose it would help much.

I really like the way you've handled that drawing. No fussiness, and no extra lines.
