photoshop + intuos3 question

Firstly, im a nub

Second, I used to use paintshop pro but now have an oldish version of photoshop on my pc. I have the latest (i think) drivers for my intuos installed. When putting pen to tablet, pressure increases result in a slight change of brush size and nothing more, whereas i wanted a change of tone. shouldnt it get darker with pressure?

is there a photoshop help thread for setup?

i never had the pressure effect the flow of paint in photoshop, but the size thing can be changed. just select your brush, and in the middle, right side of the top bar there should be a little tab there that allows you to mess with your brush settings for your tablet. not sure if they changed it since the newer versions came out.

another problem is your tablet could be messed up, or the photoshop version is to old to be compatible with your tablet. dont really know =/
