Some quick work in Photoshop. I have very little experiencing with digital blending, so that will be my focus [eventually]

Love the silhouettes, but the eye needs a lot of work - the eyeball doesn't look rounded, the iris needs more texture, and the missing reflection makes it appear lifeless (don't now how completed that painting is though)
Thank you very much for the kind words Olooriel. I love making those silhouette ships especially, they take no time at all and really get the imagination stirring. In regards to the eye, it is very unfinished. I actually had given up on it not too long in, just to showcase my inexperience with digital art. It will be a reminder of what I was, when I pass a few [more] hurdles.
Thanks Again
So, I edited the first post as it had doubled posted a picture without my knowledge. Blasted Technology!
Here is some pencil work..still trying to rediscover how to create solid lines.
In regards to the portrait, I lost the character quite early on and rushed the rest of it..I am pleased as it's my first in a long time(years) but I digress.
Went and studied some nudies over the weekend. Working on achieving that flow, most are rather quick, these are the ones I enjoyed most(models were amazing, especially the female..)
Self-Portrait for today..while it's quick, vague and albeit sloppy...it completely depicts how I feel today.
For you FF fans...
I apologize dearly for the quality of these uploads..sadly all I have is my phone.

My hand-eye coordination over the past couple days has been garbage..hopefully the latter half of this week has more in store for me..
A cruddy self portrait:
Some silhouettes..I enjoy turning off the details sometimes..
A skin study..I'm ashamed to say that as bad as this is..it took me a while. My goal was to "find" the right skin colors..picking colors in PS is harder than I thought!

amazing stuff hereI am with you and rather rough when it comes to digital coloring it almost makes me want to throw my computer out the window and turn to my Xbox 360 ignoring that I am a artist at all... then I see my sketch pad near me... and a ideas pops in my head... and conveniently a pen/pencil is near by too... and I'm off the damn races all over again
I got to say I love the silhouttes I am a huge detail guy and some times that gets me distracted and doing these looks like a good way to just turn -OFF- that parts of your brain I will have to try that out my selfAt least you have the guts to start a online sketch book I am to afraid to even do that :X
your figures are nice. they are pretty fluid
So I've been quite busy with work..Would have loved to have a more substantial upload after this much time has passed, but I do not..
I had a good time making this, however I got lost in the details quickly. I did a WIP so my peers(you) can give me some advice as to where I am going wrong. One concept I couldn't get around was creating texture and feel while blending..it was one or the other haha
Even after I felt that I had established solid values, I ended up painting over and over again in the same spot trying to create more texture..it just wasn't working for me and eventually I gave up.
Here's a redo of an album cover for a band I enjoy immensely
