I have been coming to this site for many months and I have great respect for the artists that post here. Your works have continued to inspire me.

Here is a progression on a neutral emotion painting. It corresponds to the previous eye painting, the one that expressed excitement.

BOth sets of eyes are great. Solid construction, nice expression. Are these going to be taken to a more finished level? Also--are you going to continue the series?

Good stuff. I'd like to see some of your gestural sketch book type work. If you are in animation gesture and expression especially body expression are going to be more important than accuracy of form/ photo realism. Lets see some gestures in here .. yeah?

Wow, you being "new" or not, these are totally controlled and refined. I especially like the more iconic one you're using for your avatar; it's got potential to live on as some sort of cool mural that would put the tacky ones next to it to shame.

That last set of eyes is also pretty rad. This is probably just a coincidence, but in the last of the photos, the color of the table is very close to the color of the skin around the eyes, so it looks like they're actually holes in the paper that the eyes are peeking through. What if you zoomed out and added drawings with fingers poking through in the same way, to practice some of the gestures Illgnosis was talking about?

Good work on the hands, but I think the one in the upper-right corner of the first drawing could use some work. It's a difficult pose, but with the fore-finger pointing toward the viewer it should probably be larger, with more pronounced foreshortening. This is a bit of a judgement call, but I would say, when it comes to foreshortening, error on the side of more foreshortening rather than less. If you push it too far it will give your drawing an exaggerated, dynamic look, but if you don't push it far enough your drawing will look misshapen and flat.

i second that forshortening argument....the index finger is in both drawings to short in relation to the other fingers...

However great stuff!

The first I designed and lead 50 people in painting, in a north Philadelphia rec center.
The second I co designed and lead 80 people in painting, in a west Philadelphia elementary school.
The third I designed and lead 20 people in painting, for a New Hampshire middle school.
