seth1: Thanks! I actually tend to insert huge disfigured arms and stuff like that because I can never get anything symmetrical. yikes!

jedininjaman: yeah I have trouble with faces, especially noses. ugh. thanks for the comment man, when I see similarly aged artists like you doing so much better than me I get totally pumped to improve

Wow, you have a lot of great work here. The use of value on the ostrich pic is incredible! All the folds of skin are there, and rendered nicely. Great work, man, keep it up!

Hi man! Some real solid stuff here, but there are better ways to learn this stuff. For one I suggest doing some posemaniacs studies, those are pose studies from 3d figures. I would also suggest you study some more colour theory, so you get the whole blending thing down.

Life drawing is also something that you might want to look into, both casual drawing from life, and proper life studies.

thanks for the advice man. I've actually been doing quite a lot of life drawing lately. I'll upload some sketches when I get the chance.
