Finally got a medium sized wacom after having a small for all these years! went for photorealistic/hyperreal colour type thing on this study so lots of subsurface colour and hopefully I learned some anatomy too. It was fun but I enjoyed it too much and spent 6hrs!

Your figures are brilliant. Is there a huge difference in the way you work now compared to when you were using the small tablet?

no not much difference, just less rubbing out as I make less mistakes due to higher precision. I have changed they way I work with brushes a bit, I use very big brushes and try to be fast and confident with them and then only size down when Im happy with the silhouette and forms and then I size down again to get smaller details like eyes etc, whereas before I was too quick to size down and got bogged down in the minutia before I was happy with the bigger forms and tried to draw it all with quite medium/small brushes.

took about 2 hrs on this one trying out using softer airbrushes to make things faster as there is less time spent trying to blend

dishonored style bust for an art jam on polycount took about 7hrs, spent too long trying to figure out the victorian clothing in maya.
