    Hey Jamie.

I don't wanna sound like licker but.. I must say, to be sketches, theese works are great. Digital or traditional, everything here. Even if im more for traditional medias, your digitals still impress me ^^

you have done great sketchbook here i congratulate you for it ^^ keep it up.
and yes, i love your studies they are THA SH*T! love them!

As for crit, id say that your lines are great, but somewhat i have feeling that there is more to add, think carefully about that if you do at all, and if there is something to add, be careful with it then, you know why. I'm sure of that.
But well who am i to crit.. hehe i'm just a student after all ^^

avocado-haha thanks man, yeah that portrait from mind was horrid not sure what I was going. Have to study alot more portraits cause I suck at drawing and painting them from mind

Krato-Hey sup Krato,Indeed the eye was pretty funky should have took more time to draw out the porportions instead of diving into rendering it. I always tend to do that on imagination peices. Thanks for dropping by bud

Eddiee-Tottally agree he needs to be more nasty haha

Kungfoowiz-Ah yeah caught it spot on, have the hardest time placing the eyes will get to more studies on that stuff

FabioGhibli-Just studying his pictures from the Fine arts section. Not to sure though, something about his figures really appeals to me.Wish he had a book id deffinaltly buy it. Amazing artist

zhonked-Hey sup dude! you really helped me in the begining of my sketchbook man on what I should study and stuff cant thank you enough. But your right alot of the shapes are wonky will have to focus more on getting the shapes and form right, instead of worrying about rendering it so much. Thanks for droppin by always appreciate it

    pixelherder-thanks will do

Wanna-ahh no worrys I always like hearing crits like that.Helps me know what I need to work and keep in mind of. But your tottally right im terrible at faces gona crack down on the studies. Have alot to learn and that portrait shows it

kingkostas-Thanks dude really need more crits like that. Ive been having trouble with muddy colors ever since I started painting think im useing to many colors should be using more of a "limited" pallete. Will have to start color picking just to see how close I am to the actual colors. Wish I could see that Gerome painting in person I have a feeling the colors in the photo are really off. Porportions though really have to crack down on that to

Cerasela-hi ^^ thanks for dropping by, but yeah will have to start learning how to use refrence more in my peices from imagination. I used to be pretty slaved to refrence and now im haveing a hard time using refrence now. So much to learn need to balence it all out now

Morten-Thanks Morten, though theres still so much stuff wrong with my studies like color shapes and perspective its all kinda wonky. Would have kept going with that bottle still life, but went to the skatepark and that was my only water bottle I had so scapped it haha.

Braintree-Indeed Railey H works really are amazing wish I could take one of his classes

Lyno-hey Lyno thanks for the continues feed back buddy. Your right though should spend more time blocking out the masses before I start deatiling and rendering it out.

    marcnail-Will do!

ArteJuan-Thank you for the kind encouraging words

Yuki_slider-Yuki! sup dude, ahh graffiti sure brings back alot of memorys I probly still would be doing it if I didnt turn 18 now I can get in alot of trouble If I get caught haha.

J-P Nihtinen-wow thanks man! but fersher really need to think about what im doing before I lay down the pencil/Brush sometimes im just so impaitent though. Gotta keep focused! will have to drop by your sketchbook dude

Yuki_slider-Yuki again! yeah graffitis fun havnt done any letters in soo long but free style? Guess you can say that was influnced by alot of other graffiti artists around my area

    tariqart-Thanks alot

Nice portraits, some issues with the alignment of the features and the structure under the skin, but they're painted with flair, and i love seeing that. Anatomy studies look neat too, and there's some neat rendering on the last one. Bit of a mess light/dark wise, but it's got that flair too. I'll be keeping my eye on you, so keep at it!

Awesome update. Most of it is real good. Love the studies, neat and clean. Small crit on the idian: check to porportions of the eyes: one's much bigger than the other.
And the piece from mind looks sweet, I like the mood

Hi Jamie. I've been checking your sketchbook a tons of times. You have amazing way with colors. Your still lifes are great. I also like your imagination stuff. And it looks like you're doing a lot of studies. So I don't really find anything to crit By the way, you did a lot better job with Bill the Butcher on your second go. You're improving fast! See you around!

I purely love that you try many mediums at the same time. Digital painting is a bit emotionless during process, so it is great to feel how difficult it is with traditional paints and learn patience. Wonderful sketchbook and great improvement! I like how well you got general values of still nature.

Krato-thanks for the continues feed back bud, will try and do a still life or work on a still life study everyday. Light is always interesting to study

davi-wow thanks for stopping by my sketchbook Davi, will keep on this path its fun and its only getting more fun everyday

artozi-yeah I always tend to expirement just seeing if it might lead to something new or undiscoverd. Wish I was better at oil painting it truely is so much more difficult then digital painting its fun to actually mix your colors
thanks for dropping by you have an amazing sketchbook going on

Hey, congratulation for your comission!! Nice to hear that

For the latest char, one thing that I noticed at the first glance is, that his head seems a bit too small, even for a heroic figure perhaps? Just to share my thoughts, perhaps it helps, perhaps its nonsense

That still life is looking better and better, cool to see your progress on that. Still working on the Gerôme study as well? That thing looks fucking hard.. Have fun painting all the public. Also, looking at this: http://www.artrenewal.org/pages/artw...=76&size=large

I think your copy is overall a bit too light and not saturated enough, but I don't know what pic you're using as reference.
